εχουν κανει και διασκευη Λαστ Ντραιβ !!

Όχι, οι Last Drive διασκεύαζαν στα live τους το No Such Thing από την υπερδισκάρα που ανέβασε ο πάνκης. Και μάλιστα από αυτόν τον δίσκο επηρεάστηκαν τρομερά και έκαναν το 90-91 τη στροφή στον ήχο τους που οδήγησε στο Blood Nirvana.

Ίσως εννοείς ότι οι Agent Orange παίζουν και την Μισιρλού αλλά αυτό δεν είναι κομμάτι των Drive, άσχετα αν η δική τους εκτέλεση είναι η καλύτερη :)

ε ναι δεν ηθελα να πω οτι διασκευαζουν Τσιτσανη (που δεν ειναι του Τσιτσανη η μισιρλου αλλα λεμε) :P

είχαν ανέβει 2-3 πριν κάποιο (όχι πάρα πολύ) καιρό, έψαξες καθόλου;

Γαμώ το σκατομοζίλα που με βάζει να τα γράφω για δεύτερη φορά.

Ένιγουει, καμιά πρωτοτυπία από μέρους μου, προβλέψιμο ανέβασμα…

Εδώ έχουμε να κάνουμε με τον δεύτερο δίσκο των wicked mystic, που αποδεικνύει ότι «και η ολλανδία έπαιζε αμερική». Power/thrash (thrash όσον αφορά αρκετά από τα riffs, αφού οι ταχύτητες και το ακραίον του πράγματος κινούνται σε μέτρια επίπεδα) το ζητούμενο. Έχω ακούσει αρκετές φορές το δισκάκι και το συμπέρασμα στο οποίο κατέληξα μέχρι στιγμής είναι πως πρόκειται για αρκετά ενδιαφέρουσα περίπτωση μπάντας. Ωραίοι και έξυπνοι συνθέτες που γράφουν σχετικά μικρής διάρκειας κομμάτια, τα οποία, ενώ είναι στρωτά, σίγουρα δεν είναι πεζά και χωρίς φαντασία. Αρκετές ιδέες ώστε να θέλεις να ακούσεις πολλές φορές τον δίσκο, αλλά όχι παραφορτωμένος (= ευμνημόνευτα τραγούδια). Υπάρχει γκρουβ, υπάρχουν δυνατά riffs, όμορφες μελωδίες, ωραίο παίξιμο και ένας παραπάνω από αξιόλογος τραγουδιστής. Προσωπικά μου θύμισε σε στιγμές τον Andreas Stoltz των καταπληκτικών hollow (και τώρα που το σκέφτομαι, ίσως να μην είναι το μόνο κοινό μουσικά σημεία των δύο συγκροτημάτων) και κάποιον ακόμη που δεν έχω καταφέρει να θυμηθώ προς το παρόν. Κάποιους ίσως τους κουράσει λίγο το «προσποιητό» γρέτζο, αλλά σε γενικές γραμμές γαμώ… και κάτι παραπάνω όταν τραγουδάει «καθαρά» (βλ. «The Reverie»). Αυτά πάνω κάτω… κατεβάστε, ακούστε κι αν θέλετε πείτε και μια γνώμη.

Αν κρίνω απο αυτό που λέει για τα βόκαλς, και ότι κάθε φορά τους έβγαινε διαφορετικά δεν με παραξενεύει ο τίτλος: Αυτόματη γραφή αποκαλούν τα "μέντιουμ" έναν τρόπο με τον οποίο και καλά επικοινωνούν με τους νεκρους (παρόμοιο με το Ουίτζα Μπόαρντ αλλά αντί για βελάκι και πίνακα έχουν μολύβι πάνω σε μια κατασκευή που έχει ροδάκια και χαρτί απο κάτω). Ψήνομαι να κατεβάσω μόνο και μόνο απο το κόνσεπτ.

Directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez spent $53 million to pay loving tribute to the vintage hundred-thousand-dollar exploitation fare that inspired Grindhouse's two-movies-for-the-price-of-one thrill ride. Stephen Imwalle (who played drums for Halo, a taproot of the j23 tree) has an ever-expanding collection of homemade films that he projects, usually simultaneously, behind the band. Watching him run between his four projectors and frantically feeding tape is more entertaining than the work of most frontmen.

Masterminded by former members of Oddman and Will Haven, Sacramento, CA's Abominable Iron Sloth follow in the megalithic paw prints of post-hardcore sludge metal ensembles like Eyehategod, Acid Bath, and Iron Monkey. Featuring vocalist/guitarist Justin Godfrey, guitarists Cayle Hunter and Jeff Irwin, bassist Mike Martin, and drummer Mitch Wheeler, the group released their eponymous debut through Goodfellow Records in early 2006.

Difficult as it is to resist awarding The Abominable Iron Sloth's eponymous debut album five stars based solely on their clever moniker (not to mention their CD booklet's comic book story line and artwork), the fact is their music simply ain't all that stellar. Neither is it at all bad, mind you, and when matched to the consistently entertaining lyrics behind silly song titles like "Hats Made of Veal and That New Car Scent," "I Am the Carcass," and "A Hot Pink Shell of My Former Self," their often-interchangeable sludge metal riffs are easier to forgive. Far more memorable, thanks to better licks and wider contrasts of heft and light, are "A Distant Pond From the Rivers of Human Limelight," "Climax of a Nightmare" and the quite possibly brilliant "Parasite Hilton and Other Flaws Inherent to Wealth," whose sole refrain consists of the words "Run slut run" shrieked over and over. That right there may justify the attention of enthusiasts for hardcore-inflected sludge, and, along with the Sacramento outfit's clear desire to stand out no matter what, leaves one expectantly curious for future works.

The Consumation is an independently released album from the band Hurt. It was released a few years before Vol. 1 and only 2,000 - 3,000 copies were made. J. Loren Wince was the only member present during the recording of the record. The sound quality of this CD is very raw/unmixed. Two of the songs have been redone and re-mastered. The first, "Cold Inside" was released on their first major LP, Vol. One and the second, "House of Cards" for their Blackmarket EP.

Peach (also known as Peach [gb]) was a band from England that originally recorded between 1991 and 1994. They played metal music of a progressive style. The original line-up consisted of Simon Oakes, Rob Havis, Ben Durling and Justin Chancellor. Peach supported the band Tool on the European leg of their tours throughout 1993-1994 after the release of Undertow, and then released an album, Giving Birth to a Stone, themselves. After touring to promote their debut album, Peach recorded a second one, Volume II. It was never released due to a failure to secure a major record deal. In 1995 Oakes quit to form Geyser, but Peach attempted to continue with replacement singer Rod Sterling. However, they suffered more misfortune when Rob Havis left for fellow Tool support act Submarine (later to become JetBoy DC). The name Peach was then dropped in favour of Sterling. Despite also losing Justin Chancellor to Tool in 1996 after their (Tool's) first bassist, Paul D'Amour, left, Sterling signed a deal with Mantra Records and released an album (Monster Lingo) and had four singles.

In 2000, Giving Birth to a Stone was reissued to unexpected relative success. Realising that their music was in fact appreciated, Simon Oakes and Rob Havis decided to form a band again, but since Justin and Ben were no longer there, they chose to pick a new name instead of using Peach. The name they chose was Suns of the Tundra, and they still play several old Peach songs in their live set.

Far more memorable, thanks to better licks and wider contrasts of heft and light, are "A Distant Pond From the Rivers of Human Limelight," "Climax of a Nightmare" and the quite possibly brilliant "Parasite Hilton and Other Flaws Inherent to Wealth," whose sole refrain consists of the words "Run slut run" shrieked over and over. That right there may justify the attention of enthusiasts for hardcore-inflected sludge, and, along with the Sacramento outfit's clear desire to stand out no matter what, leaves one expectantly curious for future works.

dredg is a progressive alternative band from Los Gatos, California. Their first studio album, Leitmotif, was released by the Universal music label on September 11, 2001. Prior to that, it had been self-released by the members of the band. After the album hit music stores, dredg acquired an almost immediate cult following thanks to Leitmotif's unique sound and concept. There has also been a movie planned for release as a music video for the entire album, though the project has been stalled. El Cielo, dredg's proper Interscope debut, arrived in autumn 2002, and Deftones producer Terry Date was at the helm for their 2005 effort Catch Without Arms. A video for the single "Bug Eyes" was released. In the spring of 2006, dredg played on the Taste of Chaos tour. In November of 2006, dredg released "Live at the Fillmore."

Ultraspank was a metal band in the 1990s and early 2000s. Their original name was Spank, but due to legal reasons they were forced to change it. During an interview with Rob Zombie, Zombie suggested they should call themselves "Ultra" Spank. This is noted in the liner notes of their self titled debut.

After the band split, vocalist Pete Murray (not to be confused with Australian singer Pete Murray) and guitarist Neil Godfrey formed Lo-Pro.

By the summer of 2003, Lo-Pro was in the studio with producer Don Gilmore, also producer for Pearl Jam and Linkin Park. A few months later, their eponymous album was released.

Currently Lo-Pro is looking for "The RIGHT Label" to release their second album.
