"Rome is a collaborative album between Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) and Daniele Luppi, who have previously worked to-gether on Gnarls Barkley, Dark Night of the Soul and Broken Bells. United by their shared passion for classic Italian film music, they decided to create something special. Luppi made some calls and they assembled the original musicians from films such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West including the legendary Marc 4 backing band and Alessandro Alessandroni's I Cantori Moderni' choir. Most of the musicians were in their seventies and hadn't worked together for several decades.
Rome additionally features Jack White and Norah Jones on lead vocals adding an amazing tangible edge to the blend."

Λοιπόν αυτό που λες το είχα ψιλολιώσει στις αρχές του καλοκαιριού περισσότερο προσπαθώντας να καταλάβω αν ειναι εξαιρετικό ή απλά οκει, παρά από απλή απόλαυση. Κάθε φορά ξεκινούσε με τους καλύτερους οιωνούς και η παρουσία του Danger Mouse ήταν αρκετή για μένα για να ασχοληθώ, αλλά σχεδόν κάθε φορά κάπου στη μέση έβρισκα τον εαυτό μου να έχει αφαιρεθεί και να έχει χάσει την εξέλιξη. Οπότε αποφάσισα να το παρατήσω για κάποιο καιρό και να επανέλθω δριμύτερος.
