About Yiannis Papanikolaou
Yiannis(John)Papanikolaou is a vocalist-composer-songwriter from Greece,born in 1972.He studied Agricultural Engineering in Athens and started singing when he was a kid,listening to all kinds of traditional,rock and folk music coming from his own country.He became a member of many different groups,taking lessons on music educaton,vocal and a bit of guitar... At the same time(early 80's),he got into the world of rock-metal music listening to all these great bands everyone knows.Soon he became a die-hard metal fan,whatever that means and started singing in bands like Shivers and Growing Order.With his close friend(and metal brother as well) Thimios Krikos, he formed the legendary power metallers Inner Wish in 1995,recording the classic,timeless gem,"Waiting For The Dawn" in 1998!!After that he retired for some years,releasing four albums with the band Eleftheroi and one personal,all in greek.Now he is back in metal business again,as he is the new vocalist of the mighty greek epic metallers, Battleroar!!!The band is rehearsing for live performances,also planning to record a new album next year!!!See you soon metalheads!!!

Μια χαρά θα είναι και τώρα οι Battleroar, φωνάρα έχει ο τύπος. Τώρα αν είστε κουφοί και δεν σας άρεσε το Waiting for the Dawn(στους 5 καλύτερους ελληνικούς δίσκους), τι να πω, ακούστε λίγο psychedelic space rock ξέρω γω.
