Ναι σαν Hierophant είναι, γενικά το ίδιο τραγούδι γραφεί ο τύπος (τυπικό του funeral το φαινόμενο) αλλά προτείνω Catacombs επειδή έχουν κάπως καλλίτερο ήχο και την εξωφυλλάρα. Κρίμα για το font όμως, ε.
Το ιδίωμα έχει αρκετές καλές μπάντες άμα το καλοσκεφτείς, αλλά πάρα πολλή σαβούρα (σαν το black metal, στο οποίο αισθητικά μοιάζει εξάλλου). Ανασκόπηση:
Thergothon (ιστορικά περισσότερο, δηλαδή εγώ λόγω ήχου δεν την πολυπαλεύω, ακούω ένα τρακ την φορά και αν ολόκληρο)
Skepticism (οι σημαντικότεροι)
Unholy (για το Second Ring of Power κυρίως)

Οι παραπάνω δεν αντιγραφούν το ένας το άλλον και δεν είναι βαρετοί.
Αν κάποιος δεν ξέρει τι είναι αυτό το φιούνεραλ πράγμα και δεν θέλει να ακούσει νεόκοπες γενικότητες σαν Ahab και Evoken και τέτοια, προτείνω να ξεκινήσει με Lead & Aether από Skepticism.
(Και μιας που περνάμε σχετικά πλαγίως από το ιδίωμα, οι Dusk είναι μεγάλη μου αγάπη.)
Οι dISEMBOWELMENT δεν είναι τέτοιοι, το black metal δεν είναι σαβούρα (χεχε), οι Evoken δεν είναι νεόκοπη γενικότητα, το καλό ξεκίνημα είναι οι Ελβετοί Mordor.
και οι shape of despair είναι βαρετοί.

Ακριβώς επειδή ξαφνικά τώρα που έχουμε μια κλισέ κατανόηση του τι είναι το funeral doom και αναδρομικά πετάμε έξω τους dISEMBOWELMENT, τους Unholy, τους Esoteric, είναι το ιδίωμα τόσο ομοιογενές και βαρετόοοοοο. Όπως και με το black metal σας, η μίμηση-του-genre είναι μεγάλη απάτη. Τα ιδιώματα δεν είναι μόνο ιδιώματα επειδή μοιάζει η μουσική μέσα αλλά για αισθητικούς και άλλους λόγους. βασικά άκουσα απτο myspace και είχαν περισσότερη σχέση με mdb σε πιο ατμοσφερικό παρά με funeral. για πες ποιο να τσεκάρω απτα παλια.

πάντως όντως βαρετοί θα μπορούσαν να χαρακτηριστούν οι shape of despair, αλλά καλοί βαρετοί, όχι βαρετοιιιιιι, αν με πιάνεις. Αν πας δηλαδή να ακούσεις τώρα "περιμένοντας κάτι να γίνει", μπα, τίποτε απολύτως δεν γίνεται μέσα εκεί.
