I can not see if this has been brought up before, but just about all major characters in lost have issues with their fathers.
Jack and Christian
Sawyer and his kid
Kate and her dad/ biological dad
Myles and Pierre
Benjamin and Roger
Hurley and his papi
Penny and Charles
Clair and Christian
Arron and his biological father
Alex and Benjamin/biological father
Ana Lucia and her mother (ok, mommy issue here)
Jin and the shame of his father
Sun and Mr Paik
Walt and Michael
Lock and his father
Shannon and her stepmother (another mommy issue)
Sawyer and his father's murder suicide.
I am probably missing a few more.
How much of this was lack of creativity of the writers of using a antagonistic father drving the characters to where they are... or... is there some other connection and underlying theme here that has yet to be revealed?
