Σύμφωνα με την αθλητική εφημερίδα της Καταλονίας "Sport", ο Ζοάν Λαπόρτα θέλει να φέρει στον "Καμπ Νου" τον Τιερί Ανρί, με τον πρόεδρο του ισπανικού συλλόγου να είναι έτοιμος να καταθέσει επίσημη πρόταση στην Άρσεναλ για την απόκτηση του Γάλλου επιθετικού.

"But he must respect everyone. Who is Michael Owen anyway? What has he ever won in football? He plays for Real Madrid but he is always on the bench.
"It is not right for him to say that he can score five goals against Azerbaijan. Where are those five goals tonight?
"I have a history in football but what is the history of this guy, this midget? He ought to clean his tongue and wash the boots of David Beckham as they are so wet tonight.
"He didn't score one. Sven-Goran Eriksson is a good man, he should teach him to respect everyone. Who is he anyway? Who is he?
"I would say this to his face if he was here. I hope he is back on the bench when Real Madrid play this weekend."

"England deserved to win," he added. "They have a wonderful team and have improved since the World Cup. They played the kind of football that I love to see."

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been handed an £8,900 fine and two-match touchline ban at a Uefa disciplinary hearing in Nyon, Switzerland.Chelsea are not expected to appeal but have until early next week to do so.Mourinho will now have to sit in the stand for both Champions League quarter-final legs against Bayern Munich on 6 and 12 April.The ban means Mourinho will not be allowed to enter Chelsea's dressing-room or the technical area before or during either of the games.Mourinho had originally claimed he had personally witnessed the incident but was then quoted as saying he was only told about it by his staff.

Newcastle pair Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer were sent off in disgrace for fighting during their side's 3-0 home defeat against Aston Villa.Dyer and Bowyer exchanged blows in the middle of the Newcastle half three minutes after Villa had gone 3-0 up. Α1 Ανδρών Πόλο: Μεγάλος χαμένος ο ΠΑΟ

Μικρή παρένθεση αποδείχτηκε για τον Παναθηναϊκό η φετινή του παρουσία στην Α1 ανδρών. Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της κανονικής περιόδου του πρωταθλήματος, το Σάββατο (02/04), οι «πράσινοι» πήραν τον δρόμο της καθόδου στην δεύτερη τη τάξει κατηγορία, αφού ηττήθηκαν από την Χίο με 5-7 και παράλληλα ο ΠΑΟΚ νίκησε τον επίσης υποβιβασμένο Ηρακλή με 11-9.
