The video, uploaded from England, showed the kitten, called Jasmine, being carried into a bedroom in a Santa hat and then placed on a bed, The Sun newspaper reports.

The man then distracts the kitten before his yellow Burmese python crushes it in a death grip and proceeds to devour it whole.

An RSPCA spokeswoman told The Sun: "There is no excuse for feeding a live cat to a python."
