ΟΚ σορρυ γιατί μιλάω χωρίς λεπτομέρειες και σου σπάω τα νεύρα.
SSID βλέπει αλλά κάνει time out. Πρόβλημα του router δεν παίζει γιατί με το Laptop της δουλειάς που έχει Windows συνδέεται κανονικά.

από τον connection manager ότι έχει περασμένο delete, και ξανά search.
Αν στον router σου έχεις βάλει κάποιο security setting εν αρχή απενεργοποίησε το ,

Delete στον connection manager έχω κάνει.
Θα δοκιμάσω τα security settings του router όταν πάω σπίτι, γιατί τώρα που το λες θυμήθηκα ότι πρέπει να είχε γίνει ένα reset πρόσφατα.

Βέβαια μπορεί το σήμα από το AP να είναι πιο δυνατό από αυτό της κάρτας στο λαπτοπ σου και απλά ενώ εσύ το "βλέπεις" αυτό να μην μπορεί να σε "δει". Αν είσαι πολύ μακρυά από το AP δοκίμασε και από μικρότερη απόσταση.

Ή μπορεί να έχεις το ρούτερ σου να εκπέμπει σε encrytpion που δε σηκώνει η κάρτα. Ή αν δε φταίει το encryption, μπορεί να φταίει το πρωτόκολλο. Πιχί η κάρτα σου να είναι 802.11b και το router να εκμπέμπει μόνο σε 802.11g(ή n). Αν ισχύει αυτό να το βάλεις να εκπέμπει γενικά 802.11b/g/n

OK. Όλα καλά.
Τα ubuntu δε θέλαν να συνδεθούν με ένα πιο απλό WPA που είχα βάλει στο router. Το ξαναγύρισα στο default σιδηρόδρομο που είχε και πάιζει.
