Rashida Anderson took away her son Kendall’s Playstation after her son got in trouble. After a one and a half hour argument, Kendall entered his mum’s room and hit her 20 times with claw hammers and ultimately killed her. In a confession to Philadelphia police homicide Det, Kendall owned up to his wrongdoings.
Thorsten Lucke was read to a Philadelphia Municipal Court Judge, who ordered the youth to stand trial for murder, possession of an instrument of crime and abuse of the corpse. Anderson’s statement revealed that Kendall was pacing around for around three hours, wondering whether to kill his mother.
Furthermore, Anderson said that whilst the hammer attack hadn’t killed his mum, he dragged her downstairs to cremate her in the kitchen oven. That failed so he beat her in the head with a chair leg. Before taking her body outside the house, hiding beneath debris in an alley behind the house. Later on, Anderson expressed remorse for his crime saying, “If I could, I would not do it again. I really miss my mom . . . she was the only person who cared for me.”
