FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen has posted the following message on the group's official message board:

"Just wanted to check in to say that our new record has been finally all tracked and will now be mixed starting this weekend. This is a very, very good FLOTSAM record, in my opinion the best in over eight years. If you are a fan of this band, you are going to like this vibe very much. And I would stick my neck out to say we will attract some converts after this one. And I can't say enough how cool the cover is, it really goes well with the title, 'Dreams of Death', and whole mood of the songs. And the engineer has done a great job with the tones and technical skills. I can't wait get it back mixed and mastered.

"And we are on the Louder, Harder, Faster show in Allentown, Pa. on June 3, with TESTAMENT and a lot of cool bands, we will soon start figuring out the best way to release the Japanese DVD from our recent Tokyo show, which is an amazing FLOTSAM show captured and edited very well from the local crew.

"So there it is, this band has a lot to look forward to with these things in the works. [Eric] A.K. [vocals] did an amazing job on the record, he sounds genuinely inspired going through the songs. It should be a good year... Flots til It Rots."

As previously reported, "Dreams of Death" was recorded at Genesis Studios in Phoenix, Arizona and will feature cover art by Travis Smith (ICED EARTH, NEVERMORE, etc.). A late June release via Crash Music Inc. is expected.

Crash Music, Inc. has set a July 26 release date for the new FLOTSAM AND JETSAM album, entitled "Dreams of Death". The CD was engineered by Tom Giatron and produced by FLOTSAM AND JETSAM and Tom Giatron at Genesis Studios in Phoenix.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM singer Eric A.K. has posted the following message on the group's official message board:

"I still love FLOTSAM with all my being, but I can't put my life on hold anymore. So I will do as much as I can to keep us in your ears, eyes, and minds. FLOTSAM is still not paying ME anything, but as long as whoever is doing band business is making money, I guess I should lay down and take it. 25 years nothing has changed. Paying someone for making phone calls is stupid. Anyway, the band is not broken up. The new album is kick-ass, and you will hear from us soon. Live shows are really tough to pull off, unless they are in Phoenix. But I will try my best. Thanx for being true hardcore fans."

BAND UPDATE:
Great news for A.K. He is near the finish line of his helicopter training, and his future as a private pilot already looks very promising :shock: . I wont jinx it so I will leave it at that for now. As for the band, we have confirmed 2 California gigs, Dec. 14 at The Whiskey and Dec. 15 in San Marcos, at a club pretty hot for metal right now called The Jumping Turtle. It has a great location in North San Diego County, making it convenient for the Orange County metalheads :shock: to get to as well. Then, starting March 1, we will be going to Europe to do 8 killer shows in some very cool cities like Paris, Barcelona, Budapest, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna and more. Actually the band is more pumped to go there than at any point in my and Marks 10 years with the band. And although slow, the new record is over half way written and the ideas have started really flying now. We hope to start recording sometime this winter. Thats all for now.....Flots For Life!!!!

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM: 'Once In A Deathtime' Artwork, Track Listing Revealed
Metal Mind Productions will release a new live DVD by FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, entitled "Once in a Deathtime" (cover artwork), in Europe on June 16. The disc will contain footage of the band's March 8, 2008 performance at Metalmania Festival in Katowice, Poland, including live renditions of such classic songs as "Doomsday for the Deceiver", "No Place for Disgrace", or "I Live You Die". The DVD will also feature an interview with Craig Neilsen (drums) and Ed Carlson (guitar), biography, discography, photo gallery, desktop images and weblinks.

A limited-edition version of the DVD will include will include an audio CD containing songs recorded at the Metalmania Festival.

Arizona metallers FLOTSAM AND JETSAM have set "The Cold" as the title of their new album, due in early 2009 via Driven Music Group, the label created by former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. According to guitarist Mark Simpson, the CD will feature "10 songs — ALL brutal, ALL killer, NO filler!! We are currently finishing up guitars and starting on vocals." Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Black Cloud", "Secret Life", "Hypocrite", "Falling Short" and "Take". The cover artwork will once again be created by Travis Smith (OPETH, NEVERMORE), "which we are extremely excited about because of his amazing skill and vision," says Simpson. "The cover will also feature the debut of an up-and-coming new talent.""

OK, that last one is not a title but it's close. :) 10 songs - ALL Brutal, ALL Killer, NO Filler!! We are currently finishing up guitars and starting on vocals. Still hopeful for a release in the first quarter of next year and to do as many shows as possible in support.
