British producer extraordinaire Andy "Undie" Sneap has posted the following message on his official web site:

"So we're a good few days into [the recording of the new NEVERMORE album]. We have seven full rhythms done (drums and guitar), titles include 'Jeff 1', 'Jeff 2' and 'Steve 3'....I feel Dane [Warrel, vocals] needs to get on it with the titles. Hoping to have all basic rhythms and drums done by this Friday [March 4].

"We [Andy and NEVERMORE] took a trip up to Manchester on Saturday to see my old friends STUCK MOJO. It brought some fond memories back seeing Bonz and Rich playing again, we had some good times in Atlanta when we did 'Rising' and 'Declaration of a Headhunter'. I ended up getting awarded with a Swedish Grammy for OPETH's 'Deliverence' album, which was a total surprise because it was two years late, and not something I was ever expecting to see. Very cool, though. Gizz from THE MORE I SEE and Rich presented it to me onstage and said some very cool things about times we've shared and thankfully nothing about crabs and a Beat the Street tour bus, but did manage to include the now legendary sunburn with four days in hospital/wheelchair story. Hey Everbody!!!
I'm back on here after a long and possibly conspicuous absence.
Where to begin?
We basically wrapped up nearly 6 weeks of tracking, 2 gigs, a ton of press, and 2 listening parties for the press as well as a photo shoot for the album, a strategy meeting with our management, and lots of deadlines always chasing us down, and have acheived all we set out to do, back when I left home on Jan. 24th.
I can tell you that I had a great time being able to track at Backstage Studios with the genius Andy Sneap at the helm, pushing myself and each one of us to deliver the absolute best performances we could possibly give for this album.
Hats off to you, Andy, you're the fucking best man!
Warrel sounds like never before... stronger than ever, fitter and healthier than ever, the dude is simply amazing, and I cannot wait to hear the album back when it is mixed!!! I got chills up and down my spine nearly every time I heard what he was doing over every song we layed down the weeks to days before he got in there.
Van was up first, and got done within about a week or so, if my memory is serving me right. He went in and gave the goods and then some! I am especially proud of what he was able to do to my songs for this album.
Jeff absolutely slayed everything in sight for this album, delivering some highly innovative( suprised?!) and killer chops that arfe sure to have all of us, and even myself guessing, "Dude, what planet are you from?"
Jim went in between Jeff and myself at times, laying down some sedriously thundering bass guitar, some of the best stuff I have heard him play! You da man Jim, and I am gonna figure out how to beat you on ESPN 2005 at some point here!!!
The gigs we did, London, in particular, went amazingly good, despite the fact that we were in the middle of tracking the album, and had very little time to rehearse for them. We also debuted 4 new songs at the London show, including Final Product, Born, BitterSweet Feast, and the forthcoming title track, This Godless Endeavour. All of you who were there, I hope you guys enjoyed being the first to hear these songs, even as they were still being recorded at Backstsage!
The Thessaloniki show went not as planned, due to Jim's unfortunate illness and hospitalization the night of the show. To those who did make it out, including Tee( why didn't you tell me that was you? I realized it after I was rushed into the car that it was you! Good to see you!), and Tzabill ( that was fun to hang and talk with you that night, however coherently we might have been at that point!), I hope you guys enjoyed the show, despite Jim's absence. We did it for you guys, and thank you for sticking around that late to see us play! Luckily we were able to pull out at least the 11 songs we did do, and promise all the Greek fans we'll be back, Jim intact, and deliver the goods heavily next time!
Through all that has gone on over these last few months, I actually had the time to go track the new Dragonlord album in Gothenburg with Eric P. and Frederick Nordstrom and his great team up at Fredman Studios as well, but I'll post that in the appropriate place.
I came back absolutely exhausted, and will be back on here to post further updates and what not as things come up.
Get ready for the album and tour, it's gonna be a lot, a lot of metal, a lot of Nevermore!!!

he Seattle-based quintet NEVERMORE recently completed the recording process for their highly anticipated new album, "This Godless Endeavor", at Backstage Studios in England with legendary producer Andy Sneap (ARCH ENEMY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, OPETH). The highly anticipated new offering is currently set for a summer release. This will mark the group’s first recording with guitarist Steve Smyth (ex-TESTAMENT).

NEVERMORE will embark on massive six-week summer festival tour, dubbed the Gigantour, alongside MEGADETH, DREAM THEATER, FEAR FACTORY and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN in late July. Warrel Dane (vocals) further describes his thoughts on the new album and upcoming tour: "We have completed the recording process for 'This Godless Endeavor' and Andy Sneap will finish mixing and mastering the record this week. It was a great experience working with Sneap again and he has really outdone himself on this record. We are also really psyched up for Gigantour. It's great to part of a tour that is focused on musicianship instead of current trends. This summer is going to be great."

In other news, the new version of the group's critically acclaimed 2003 album "Enemies of Reality", remixed by Sneap, is now available. It was repackaged with altered cover artwork, two promotional video clips (the title track and "I, Voyager") and a live video of the title track performed at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival this past summer.

The remixed "Enemies of Reality" will replace the existing version of the album in stores. Fans who have already purchased the record and want to hear the new edition can special order it from the CenturyMedia.com web shop, where the CD itself will be sold individually (i.e., without jewel case and artwork) for $5, including shipping. The disc will be mailed in a CD sleeve; a link to a special web site containing the downloadable revised artwork will be included in order confirmation e-mails.

hm εμένα μου φάνηκε πως το έθεσε αξιολογικά και όχι χρονολογικά. Ένιγουι, το DHIADW μου είχε φανεί στην αρχή καλύτερο απ'ότι είναι και από τότε είμαι πιο επιφυλακτικός κ πιο προσεκτικός ιντίντ. Επίσης είμαι της άποψης πως έπρεπε να το κλείσουν τότε το μαγαζί. Γουατέβερ βαριέμαι.

Συμφωνώ απόλυτα με JDM & Jimid

Θέλω να το ακούσω αρκετές φορές ακόμα για να σχηματίσω τελική γνώμη, αλλά μέχρι τώρα μου αρέσει υπερβολικά. Σίγουρα καλύτερο απτο EoR, νομίζω λίγο ανώτερο απτο DHIDW. Με τα 3 πρώτα δεν τίθεται θέμα σύγκρισης.

Προς το παρόν το favorite μου είναι το born με το acid words να ακολουθεί. Το Final product επίπεδη ξε-επίπεδη σύνθεση, εμένα μου άρεσε! :)
