Pelican will be releasing a DVD through Hydra Head on March 8, 2005, dubbed Live In Chicago 06/11/13. The effort will feature the following songs, captured at the group`s June 11, 2003 performance in Chicago, Illinois:

02. "Drought"
03. "nightenday"
04. "Australasia"

Pelican have chosen The Fire In Our Throats Beckons The Thaw as the title to their new full-length album which will see a June release through Hydra Head. As previously reported, the band`s latest EP effort, March Into The Sea, will hit stores via the same label on April 12, 2005.

hm βασικά έχει απίστευτα σημεία κ riffάρες σε φάσεις. Συνολικά είναι ωραίο αλλά 1ον έχει και αδιάφορα σημεία και 2ον δεν έχει την χαρακτηριστική ΗΧΑΡΑ. Πιο Rock αλλά...
Το remix είναι μετριότητα κ βαρετό.

Pelican has been busy, busy making shit happen with several releases. First off, our DVD is out. We made 1000 of these. It's a local show, shot by a friend, with sound from the soundboard. Seldon Hunt (seldonhunt.com) did the art. The photos are courtesy of Nathan Baker (minno9.com). It's our first stab at just releasing a live show, a show that we feel represents well the early days of the band, when material from the EP and some stuff from Australasia comprised our lives show then. We've been lucky in that people have shot a ton of tape so far, and we want to release a lot of it. So yeah, if you're inclined to get this DVD, it's up for sale at hydraheadshop.com.
Our new EP is out April 12, U.S. and Europe. Got a few thousand of these. The artwork was prepared by Paul at Hydra Head. The photos are courtesy, once again, of Nathan Baker (minno9.com). Paul at Hydra Head put it all together. The title track, "March Into the Sea," is 20 minutes long. It's a new song we'll be playing live for some time. The version on the EP is extended and unique to that release. It is backed by Justin Broadrick's remix of "Angel Tears." He took that song to outer space, my friends. Check it out. There's a sweet pre-order for it at hydraheadshop.com.
The vinyl for our first EP is getting repressed. This version will look a tad different -- gold rather than silver covers. cockoftherock.com is doing the vinyl again, except that now distribution will be officially through Choke Inc., which is sweet. It'll get to where it needs to go faster.
Speaking of the new Pelican full length. It's called The Fire in our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw. It's seven songs, about an hour, and we're happy with it. It'll be out right around the time that America declares its (in)dependence from/on the world. We then go to Japan and do a full-scale U.S. tour. We're also working on some surprise shows in another continent, but I won't spoil that just yet.

Fire in our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw
Japan Release date: June 15! This version will feature a second disc with bonus material on it: the March Into the Sea EP, another remix (this one by James Plotkin), and a demo version of the track "Sirius," which is on the new full length. For anyone who's interested in the Japanese version, I'm sure there'll be a way to get it. U.S. version is now slated for July/August. Again, seven songs -- 58 minutes. Hydra Head.
