Apo to newsletter tou sygrotimatos...

Dear people,

Big news this time.
A new special semi-acoustic live album "Sleepy buildings" is coming and a tour next year.
A lot is happening and changing, as it always does.

But the biggest change of all is that Hugo, our bass player, is leaving the Gathering.
After a period of soulsearching, he came to the conclusion he wants to spend his time otherwise,
taking on new challenges profession-wise and focus on his private life.
He and his wife just had a beautiful baby girl.
This means he will end the year with us and do one last show which will
be in 013 in Tilburg, Holland the 16th of November.
Of course we wish him all good luck and happiness in the future.

We went on a quest to find a suitable replacement for Hugo.
Luckily we did not have to search very far.
We found a female bass player named Marjolein from Oss, Holland,
the place where most of us come from and started our Gathering career.
She studies at the Dutch 'Rock academy', She's a nice and funny girl
and a natural talent indeed. We welcome her to our band.
You will get a chance to meet her when we will tour around Europe after
the release of "Sleepy buildings" end of January 2004.

Also the new DVD A Noise Severe as well as the double live CD will still be released this summer.

Θα μου είναι αρκετά δύσκολο να τους φανταστώ χωρίς Anneke, μετά από τόσα πολλά χρόνια μαζί. Τα 2 live πάντως που είχα δει ήταν πραγματικά πολύ καλά, ειδιαίτερα αυτό στην περιοδεία If_Then_Else. Anyway, δεν προδικάζω τπτ, μπορεί να ανακαλύψουν κάποια άλλη γαμάτη τραγουδίστρια. Είδωμεν...

Ηχητικά είναι τελείως όμως σαν απομεινάρι του "Home".
Τεσπα, είναι τόσο χαρακτηριστική η φωνή της που ό,τι και να κυκλοφορήσει/τραγουδήσει, κάποια ομοιότητα με γκαδερινγκ θα υπάρχει.

Μυριζομαι πουστια. Μολις ειχε τελειωσει και περιοδεια στην Αμερικη που ειχε σκοπο να τους κανει πιο γνωστους και να αποκτησουν κοινο και εκει... πολυ ξαφνικο αυτο ε. Την ειδε ευτυχισμενη με παιδι και οικογενεια? Απτο κομματι μονο η τρομπετα μαρεσε.

Πωπω, κρίμας μεγάλο...
Πάλι καλά που τους είδα φέτος πρώτη φορά (η απαράδεκτη), τουλάχιστον πρόλαβα την Anneke live.
Από το τραγούδι στο myspace το μόνο που μου άρεσε πραγματικά είναι η φωνή, εντάξει, τι άλλο; Αλλά μόνο αυτό, κατα τ' άλλα αρκετά μέτριο.
