SUNN O))) has been tracking for the next album, BLACK1, at Scott Reeder's studio in the CA desert. Expect dowtuned primitive sci-fi weirdness. We plan to have this mixed by summertime and a release sometime in the early autumn if all continues to go well.

SUNN O))) recently completed battles in UK, Ireland and Athens, to great success. I would like to thank all of the people who came to witness us, especially in Newcastle, Belfast, London and Athens. The shows were our best ever! SUNN O))) performed as a power trio of guitars & moog, with some guest appearances. Hail to McGrail, Rehberg & Csihar for their sonic blessings... Rehberg busted his laptop in London while swinging it behind Anderson's amps for feedback!!!!!!! Csihar invoked gods of wavelava at every instance and McGrail brought down thunderbolts, and brought up boiling energy for Leviathan in the case of the Bristol feedbath. Massive amounts of thank and respects to the kind folks who put us on and put us up. Also last but certainly not least, a high level of respect to Tos and Andrew for their work as crew, this sort of thing couldnt happen with out you all. Respect to Tony Sylvester and Savage Pencil for their help and work on everything. Fuck ouzo, hail DoomLord.

"I think that this band should have stopped after "White1", or at least they could have changed their musical direction. When I first heard about "Black One", I was really convinced that it would be a fast black metal album and considering that these two know how black metal must sound like (just think of O'Malley's work in KHANATE and the guest vocals of Attila Csihar in "White2"), I really couldn't wait to listen to it."
