Former MR. BIG/current RACER X guitarist Paul Gilbert has posted the following message on his web site:
"I have a new CD out called 'Acoustic Samurai'.
"It was recorded LIVE at the Tokyo Hard Rock Cafe. The musicians are Linus of Hollywood (acoustic bass, acoustic guitar, and vocals), and me (vocals, acoustic guitar, and stomping on the guitar case). We played lots of my solo material as well as some RACER X favorites and even 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA. Even though it's all acoustic, there is lots of furious guitar playing. There are also two bonus tracks, 'Maybe I'll Die Tomorrow' (a song I wrote and recorded for a Japanese Samurai movie with LOTS of electric guitar), and a new acoustic pop tune called 'Always For Alison'. So far, the album is only released in Japan.
"I'll be recording some guitar solos for the upcoming Battle Gear 3 video game. Get ready for RACER X style guitar music in your video arcades!
"The 'Guitar Wars' DVD is being mixed and should be ready soon. I hope you enjoy seeing Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Hackett, John Paul Jones, and me do some great live music together."
