Η συνεργασία με τον Reinert αποτελεί ευσεβή πόθο των περισσότερων οπαδών των Fates (αν παρακολουθούσατε σχετικά chat, ήταν το όνομα που ήθελαν οι περισσότεροι μόλις μαθεύτηκε το διαζύγιο με τον Zonder), αλλά δεν έχει ακουστεί τίποτα συγκεκριμένο γι' αυτό, ούτε σαν φήμη. Right now, yes there are. I just got of the phone with Jim (Matheos, guitar) an hour ago. We are putting in some Eastern Europe as well. It is probably not going to be a very long tour. Kind of getting over there and get our feet wet and come back to America and tour here for a while. We definitely have to go on tour in Europe for another five weeks or so. Just a few dates in the first place, in Greece we are recording a live DVD and I think we have some shows in Turkey as well.

In a recent interview
(23/11) with Germany's Rock Hard Magazine, FATES WARNING singer Ray Alder discussed the possible touring replacement for departed drummer Mark Zonder and the band's plans to hit Europe in 2005.

"Of course we're still friends," says Alder with regards to Zonder. "He just didn't want to tour anymore. We haven't ruled out the possibility that he might record the next album with us. We definitely need a new drummer for the live gigs, though. At the moment it looks like Nick D'Virgilio from Spock's Beard will be with us on the upcoming tour."

Tour plans for Europe in support of the new FWX album are being laid out, which might include the return of an old friend to the Fates Warning stage.

"Nothing is confirmed for Germany yet, but it's an important market for us. We haven't toured there in six years. And if things work out, it looks like our former guitar player Frank Aresti will be with us."

Aresti left the band following the tour for Fates Warning's 1994 album Inside Out

Τώρα εξηγείστε μου εμένα γιατί υπάρχουν τόσες φήμες για Reinert για το live...

Τι εννοείς όταν λες φήμες; Έχει αφήσει κάποιο υπονοούμενο ο Μαθιός ή ο Alder; Ή μήπως ο ίδιος ο Reinert; Εγώ το μόνο που ξέρω είναι ότι οι οπαδοί εξέφρασαν την επιθυμία να είναι ο Reinert ο νέος ντράμερ, αμέσως μόλις ανακοινώθηκε η αποχώρηση του Zonder. Προφανώς από το «λέγε-λέγε» στο internet (κυρίως στο chat room του www.fateswarning.com (http://www.fateswarning.com)), έφτασε να θεωρείται φήμη.

Ξέρει, όμως, κανείς από σας τίποτα συγκεκριμένο επ' αυτού; Το 'χει διαβάσει σε καμιά συνέντευξη ή έχει συγκεκριμένη πληροφορία ότι οι δύο πλευρές έχουν μιλήσει και μπορεί να συνεργαστούν; Εγώ δεν ξέρω τίποτα τέτοιο, γι' αυτό ρωτάω.

On a final note, I hope all of you that have already downloaded the new Spock's CD are enjoying it. Just know that there is a lot of great artwork and a bonus disc coming when the CD is officially released. You wont be able to download those until then :)

I remember the old days when a band I liked a lot was coming out with a new record and there was an excitement in the air. I couldn't wait for release day. I would go to the record store and buy the album and go home and put it on. Now whether the record was great all the way through didn't really matter. It was new and exciting hearing it and holding it in my hands, reading the lyrics and looking at the pictures. These days are so different. The excitement is not there because you can just go somewhere on the net and hear it way before it ever gets to the stores. Now I don't know what it does to CD sales, that's not my point. My point is that it's too easy now and people just expect it like that. Either way, I am very happy with the music my band has made for this new CD. This group came together with a bunch of ideas and saw them through to an amazing end. I love this band and am very blessed to be a part of Spock's Beard.
