The band’s new amazing video clip for the EP’s title track “Lost To Apathy” was recently shot in Gothenburg, Sweden with director Roger Johansson / Bobby Works, who has already worked with bands like The Haunted, In Flames or HammerFall in the past. New Album in January 2005:
The EP with video clip should serve as a highly-anticipated taster and value for money item for all faithful DT fans. The new DARK TRANQUILLITY studio album is entitled “Character” and exceeds all expectations, combining all the band’s beloved trademarks with skilled song-writing and relentless modern heaviness. Release dates will be January 24th in Europe and January 25th in North America. Look out!

Touring all over the place:
In perfect timing for the band’s new album, DARK TRANQUILLITY will be supporting thrash metal icons KREATOR all over Europe on the lengthy “Enemy Of God” tour from February 2nd to March 5th, 2005. Το αγόρασα πρίν 2 μέρες,αρκετά καλό το Lost to apathy αλλά φέρνει γαμώτο πολύ στο στύλ το damage done,τα φωνητικά μου φάνηκαν πιο σκληρά.Το derivation TNB είναι ένα mix από διάφορα τραγούδια που θα περιέχει το album,το the endless feed μου άρεσε,έχει κάτι σε ψυχεδέλεια.Το live track είναι για τον πούτσο,δεν μου άρεσε καθόλου και νομίζω υπάρχει και στο 2ο cd με τα live tracks του exposures.

Δε μίλησα για την αξία του album. Και μένα το αγαπημένο DT album είναι. Αυτό δε το κάνει πιο πολύπλοκο. Το μεγαλύτερο πλεονέκτημά του ίσως να είναι και η απλότητα των συνθέσεων. Παρόλα αυτά ο Stanne έχει, στην καλύτερη περίπτωση, μέτρια καθαρά φωνητικά.

Δεν είδα να αναφέρεται πουθενά αυτές τις μέρες, οπότε... (28/5 το update)

We're insanely busy with the songwriting for the next album, and it's now decided that the recordings will start in October. More details about studios (yes, that's in plural), working partners and so forth will follow as soon as everything is 100% confirmed.

As for the music itself, the material we're working on covers the whole gamut from laid back acoustic sections to furious blastbeats, so you can all look forward to a diverse and challenging offering. Most songs are still in the embryonic stages, so it'll be interesting to see how things develop.

Some media goodness to make the wait for the next magnum opus easier: A 15-minute video clip of our gig at the Fury fest in France (June 25, 2005) has been uploaded to our MySpace page. As usual with these homemade recordings, the quality itsn't stellar, but it gives a good enough representation of the show.

Also, we found an old version of "Away, delight, away" from an 8-track promo recording we did in our rehearsal studio back in the spring of 1994. This is an early incarnation of the song that differs slightly from the version that ended up on the "Of chaos and eternal night" MCD. The promo itself also contained "Punish my heaven" and "The gallery", and was sent out to a select few record labels and tape trading contacts.

Arrived back home in one piece (well, six pieces to be exact). Huge thanks to all promotors, fans and of course to our crew buddies/caretakers Bryan and Andrew for having made this trip such a great experience. We'll be back a.s.a.p.!

Photos from the shows have started appearing in our mailbox, and we urge everyone with quality shapshots (especially the guy with the professional camera at both shows in Korea) to submit them to darkhq@gmail.com.

The recording sessions for the next album will begin next week, so we'll post an update when things start taking form.
