PARADISE LOST Announce New Album Title

PARADISE LOST announced today (Oct. 6) that the title of their newest album will be "Paradise Lost" — in celebration of their 10th studio album since their full-length debut, "Lost Paradise", was released in 1990. Artwork and tracklisting are still to be confirmed.

The follow-up to 2002's "Symbol of Life", "Paradise Lost" was recorded primarily at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England under the guidance of producer Rhys Fulber (FEAR FACTORY, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY) and is the group's first to feature drummer Jeff Singer (ex-BLAZE).

Singer joined the group in May as the replacement for Lee Morris, who left the band in March due to "personal and musical differences."

The upcoming CD is being described by singer Nick Holmes as "definitely the heaviest album we have done in the last ten years."

Εμένα κάτι δε μ'αρέσει απ'την ώρα που έδιωξαν τον Lee,ο οποίος παίζει πάρα πολύ καλά αλλά δεν είναι ποζεράς...Όμως δε λέω τίποτα μέχρι να βγει ο δίσκος για να δούμε τελικά τί ήθελαν να κάνουν.Το μόνο σίγουρο είναι πως οι συναυλίες στην Ελλάδα θα είναι γαμάτες!

Ο admin του WW λέει ότι στα shows αυτά, που θα γίνουν πριν κυκλοφορήσει το album, τα παιδιά μας θα παίξουν "a couple of songs" από το καινούριο.

Ως προς το πρώτο, το υποστήριξαν/υπονόησαν αρκετοί έως πολλοί για το Symbol of Life, όταν δηλαδή έγινε η υποτιθέμενη στροφή προς τα πίσω.
Ως προς το δεύτερο, δε θα ήταν άσχημα αν λεγόταν έτσι, όμως 1. δεν έχουμε ακούσει το album για να εκτιμήσουμε κατά πόσο θα ταίριαζε ένας τέτοιος τίτλος και 2. δεν ξέρουμε κατά πόσο τους πέρασε κάτι τέτοιο από το μυαλό, όμως και να τους πέρασε, μπορεί να μη θέλησαν να τον χρησιμοποιήσουν. Είναι πολλά υποσχόμενος τίτλος (και για το περιεχόμενο του album και για το μέλλον [;] του group, οπότε ίσως εσκεμμένα να έγινε η επιλογή.

Πάντα είχα την εντύπωση ότι η προς τα πίσω στροφή έγινε περισσότερο με το BiN παρά με το Symbol of Life. Τώρα το γιατί έγινε, κανείς δε μπορεί να ξέρει, εκτός του συγκροτήματος. Ίσως απλά να έβλεπαν ότι δε πάει πιο πέρα μετά το Host...

Όσο για το τίτλο του καινούριου, ας είναι καλά τα τραγούδια και μικρή σημασία έχει πως το ονόμασαν...

The mixing process for the new Paradise Lost album is being finalised now, and a proposed tracklisting for the CD has been announced today.

While there is the possibility for change, the current tracklist is as follows:

Paradise Lost are flying to Köln in Germany, where they will be doing a Studio playback of the new album for a number of Journalists, to be followed by interviews.

After this, the band will then be doing a promotional photo shoot for the new album.

TAPPING THE VEIN singer Heather Thompson has recorded some backing tracks for the new, self-titled PARADISE LOST album. She can be heard on the first single, "Forever After", as well as a few other songs.

As previously reported, "Paradise Lost" is scheduled for release on February 21 through G.U.N. Records. The "Forever After" will precede the album on February 7.
