After a long period of silence we're finally back with the relaunch of this website - and I guess you've all been wondering what has happened during the last couple of months.
First of all: Against different rumours, Antichrisis still exists! Moreover, we are feverishly working on the forthcoming album with our new singer Bianca, who joined us last summer: we've already had an introductory recording session in January at the Bluehouse Studio, where we recorded the vocals to 7 brand new songs. Nevertheless we will still need some time to put the finishing touches to the album, as the pitch of some tracks originally meant for Dragonfly's voice has to get shifted, which simply means that we'll have to re-record them again: Admittedly a kind of a drawback, but nevertheless inevitable to create the proper background for Bianca's ravishing poignant voice. Get a first impression of Bianca here.
Anything else? Well, it took me a rather long time to get over last year's separation from Dragonfly: There were so many painful memories of the past, and quite a few times it looked as if both my physical and mental health would never recover again. But little by little the old spirit seems to be coming back with the silver lining of hope standing out against a new horizon...
Retrospectively it was a wise decision of mine to leave Bonn behind and move to Nuremberg: I've found some very good friends and musicians down here and I'm also working on a live-project with Bianca and Wulli (Wulli's not only a brilliant guitarist and singer, but also runs a very fine live-club called "Strohalm" ) This project is not connected with Antichrisis at all, but it's great fun anyway: We're always having a hell of a good time at all the sessions and gigs that we're playing.
We're also working hard on the re-release of "A Legacy of Love", but as Jens, our producer, has just recently set up Playbaker, an online market-place for royalty-free music, and because of me being sort of involved in this project quite a lot, too, it took as a while to get everything organised because it's not just a simple re-release, but we're also doing re-recordings of some instrumental tracks that we were not completely satisfied with, so it's all a bit more labour-intensive than one might think.
Despite of all these delays and emotional drawbacks, Antichrisis is definitely back on the track again, pretty alive and hopefully still kickin'! It also feels to me as if the new album - which will be called "A Legacy of Love Part 2" - contained some of the best songs I've ever written, and with the support of such gifted artists like Bianca, Naex, Jens and Kugator it'll surely become an outstanding affair!
Besides, this website will be updated regularly from now on again, and it will also see quite a few improvements and enhancements in the near future.
By the way: A big "Thank You" for all the wonderful emails with words of sympathy and encouragement that I've received by lots of our fans during the last couple of months: They gave me great comfort and consolation in dark and troubled times!
