Firebird - Live clip from new bootleg DVD

Just saw Firebird again in their stronghold of Belfast.

Hopefully this wee link will work for those interested. It's taken of my DVD I was allowed to film. I have compressed one song for the internet to give you all a sample.

Firebird play big riff rock just like the old masters used to do in the 70's. Check them out and I hope you enjoy. Of course Beggars fans will know who they are already.

The clip is heavily compressed but still is decent enough for a sample.

I would love this DVD to be spread around if possible - a band like Firebird need more recognition.

Is anyone interested in trading? I woulld love to get a DVD of the Beggars in action, if one exists or any great soundboard recordings - especially from the On Fire tour!

The Firebird clip is heavily compressed and the quality of the DVD is far better - and the camera wobble at the start is just me getting a new pint handed to me, it was thirsty work.

I passed copies of it onto the band and hopefully I'll hear their reaction and thoughts on the DVD soon.

Sadly, though this lineup of Firebird is over.

Bill is taking stock of things and will either carry on under the Firebird name or more likely as a solo artist.

I'm sure we will still get to hear a few Firebird tunes from him in the future all being well.

Alan French is powering on and will hopefully have his new band Altamont River in action soon. Taking cue from Purple, Zep, Stones and Free, I think we could gain another excellent band from his departure from Firebird. Any interested parties in joining Alan should maybe throw him a tape as he is still to finalise a lineup!

I wish Alan, Bill and Al all the best in their future projects, and its great to hear that they are all still best of friends.
