In a really shocking, turn of events, thrash metal pioneers, turned Nu corporate drones, METALLICA, have decided to call it a day, stating that sales of their desperate 'ST.ANGER' CD were incredibly disappointing, having only sold a couple of million copies. Deciding that they had, enough of each other, and that life on the road is becoming more and more tiresome, since they're now in their forties, the band decided to go seperate ways. it's currently unknown if the band members will pursue any musical avenues, allthough it's a possibility that their bassist Robert Trujillo, might replace Jason Newsted, in Canadian Thrash Legends, VOIVOD, after he departed to join, OZZY Osbournes band once again.
