Lee Morris 3/12/2004




Regrettably Paradise Lost have come to the decision to part company with drummer Lee Morris. The band state personal and musical differences as their reason for taking this action.



No replacement has been named as yet, although the new album will continue to be recorded as previously planned.



We are sorry to see Lee go, and wish him all the best for the future.



Lee Morris added “ I think it was always going to be difficult integrating myself into an already established set-up, and although we have always had a varying degree of opinions, attitude and ethics on things over the last 9 years we have usually always managed to find a happy medium. However, I think that over the last year the divide has really grown to a point where compromise is no longer really an option for any of us to maintain a healthy working relationship. I have complete respect for the band on this decision at this stage in their career, and I want to wish them every success on the forthcoming album and thank them for the good times. As for me, I’m not sure what the future has in store yet, but I do believe that all things in life happen for a reason and as one door closes another opens, so here’s to new beginnings.”

i want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the great people that have supported me through my time with p.l.you guys and girls have always made me feel welcome and its always been my pleasure to be able to speak with as many of you as i could.if i ever failed to give any of you enough time,then i apologise.i think i am still a little bit in shock myself at the moment as this has been my life for the last 9 years,but i can promise you all that i will be back(not with marshall law though,jon!!).i have never lost my passion for music and drumming and this new found freedom has really filled me with a determination and drive to want to succeed again.for the moment i'm going to concentrate on going back to teaching drums and try to get involved in as many sessions and projects as possible,as i've played one style for a long time now and i really need to creatively branch out before i settle on one project.i want to ask you all to respect the bands decision and not pry into all the details,as this is something that is between the band and myself.there is no need to get into a big debate to try to see who is at fault here.there has been fault on both sides,so lets keep these memories happy.well i want to leave you all for now with alot of love,peace and respect and i will see you all again.the grin will be back!!! see ya!!!! lee x

Χμμμ, δε βρίσκω αυτό του Holmes που λες. Θα ξανακοιτάξω. Ο Lee πάντως δηλώνει "shocked" οπότε προφανώς τον έδιωξαν ξαφνικά.

Λέει ότι οι ηχογραφήσεις θα συνεχιστούν κανονικά, αλλά δεν είδα πουθενά να διευκρινίζει εάν έχει γράψει τα τύμπανα. Λογικά ναι. Δε νομίζω να έδιωχναν drummer στη μέση των ηχογραφήσεων χωρίς να έχουν καν βρει αντικαταστάτη, αν δεν είχε γράψει τα δικά του.
