Ε κάποια στιγμή θα γίνει η δουλειά. Όχι από τον απλό χρήστη προφανώς.

Σαν το PS2. Στην αρχή παίζαν κάτι boot dvds, σε ορισμένες παρτίδες με συγκεκριμένο drive. Είχαν μάλιστα και μια πλαστική μαλακιούλα που την έχωνες μέσα στο drive για να κάνει eject χωρίς να πατήσεις το κουμπί.

Μετά άρχισαν να έρχονται τα τσιπάκια. Στην αρχή ανάλογα με την έκδοση. Μετά απλά με το αν είναι ευρωπαϊκό, γιαπωνέζικο ή αμερικάνικο. Και στο τέλος ήρθε το messiah 2 που έκανε τα πάντα όλα και σύμφερε.

Στο PS3 η Sony έμαθε βέβαια και δεν έκανε τις μαλακίες του 1/2 με τα drives/disk boots, έτσι έχει ζορίσει το πράγμα σαφώς περισσότερο.

ΥΓ: Καλά, PS1 και αν υπήρχαν 234241231 τρόποι να το σπάσεις ανάλογα με το τι είχες.

πηγαινε network settings-custom-wired-οταν σου ζητησει dhcp (δε θυμαμαι με ποια σειρα τα εχει) βαλε manual ip μια τυπου 192.168.2.5(6,7,8κτλ) απο κατω 255.255.255.0,απο κατω 192.168.2.1 και dns 195.170.0.1 + 195.170.2.2(connx δεν ειχες βαλει;) τα υπολοιπα βαλτα automatic και do not use/disable οταν τα ζητησει.

If we look at all other consoles that have been hacked, they provide some significant advantages over a normal un-hacked console. Wii and Xbox 360 have both been hacked, allowing gamers to get free titles as they wish. A gamer on YouTube claims to be testing the worlds first PS3 mod-chip. He doesn't confirm the effectiveness of the chip with any footage of playing games, however, he claims it's in early testing stages. He claims games can be loaded off an external memory device, and that it supports all firmwares. Sounds interesting, but unproved. Check out the video below.

αποτι καταλαβα το τσιπακι χρειαζεται ενα original game στο drive για να τρεξει τα rips ξεγελοντας το μηχανημα κατα καποιο τροπο.βεβαια αυτο σημαινει οτι δεν μπορεις να εισαι/παιξεις οnline ουτε και να παιξεις τα επομενα games που θα απαιτουν το νεοτερο firmware(το οποιο θα αποτρεπει ολα αυτα)

λογικα οχι, γιατι στο xbox φλασαρουν ολοκληρο το firmware, ενω στο ps3 περναει ενα προγραμματακι/hack δεν ξερω τι , παντως firmware δεν αλλαζει. επισης λογικα αν βγαλεις το φλασακι η κονσολα παυει να ειναι "πειρατικη", και δεν θα υπαρχει προβλημα αν οντως αρχισουν τα ban και θες να παιξεις ενα αυθεντικο game.

Update #3: According to Inaudax on IRC, Ozmodchips has just cancelled all of their PSJailBreak pre-orders and is refunding their customers money back.

Update #2: According to court documents from the Federal Court of Australia File #VID727/2010 Ozmodchips Pty Ltd & Ors is also involved in the IP claim by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited & Anor with a hearing scheduled for August 31, 2010.

Update: Australian reseller Quantronics has removed the notice (outlined below) from their PS JailBreak PS3 modchip page, and has now changed the item's status to "no stock" to comply with the court order.

Online Australian retailer Quantronics has been ordered by the Federal Court of Australia, Victoria District Registry on the 26 August 2010 to halt PS JailBreak PS3 modchip sales and distribution.

Their Web site currently states the following terms, to quote:

"Quantronics will not;

a. import PS Jailbreak
b. distribute PS Jailbreak
c. offer them for sale to the public
d. provide them to another person
e. otherwise deal with them

Το ολο συστημα δουλευει μια χαρα, προσωπικα το εχω φορτωσει στο n900 και με τον FTP server που εχουν βγαλει περναω downloaded παιχνιδια στον δισκο. Επισης, το "jailbreak" εχει βγει και για άλλες συσκευες (κινητα κτλ). Εννοειται βεβαια οτι δεν κανεις update σε 3.42 αρα ξεχνας και το online, μιας και η μαμα Sony έκοψε τα proxies και τα bypass.

Vormulac υπαρχουν ομως καποια παιχνιδια τα οποια "απαιτουν" τελευταια εκδοση του φιρμγουερ η απλα καποιο απντειτ, χωρις τα οποια δε φορτωνουν.

Προς το παρον οχι, ακομα και το move παιζει καθως το support γι'αυτο μπηκε με την 3,40. Ο μονος περιορισμος που υπαρχει, μεχρι τωρα, ειναι οτι παιχνιδια που εχουν αρχεια μεγαλυτερα απο 4GB πρεπει να περαστουν με FTP στον εσωτερικο δισκο γιατι το ps3 δεν διαβαζει NTFS εξωτερικους δισκους.

The most recent PlayStation 3 firmware update has disabled certain third-party pads, USB devices and PS2 to PS3 controller converters, users have claimed.

Scores of people have posted on Sony's official message boards that their third party add-ons are no longer working.

When the Blu-ray 3D-friendly firmware update went live earlier this week, Sony explained, "SCEA does not support continued functionality of counterfeit or unlicensed controllers in system software updates and these devices may cease to function in the future because of system software updates.

"SCE and its affiliated companies disclaim all liability for any loss or damage suffered by you or any third party through the use of counterfeit or unlicensed products."

However, there have been a number of complaints that some above-board MadCatz pads and Guitar Hero accessories no longer work either.

We've asked Sony for an explanation and will update when it gets back to us.

Sony issued a consumer alert earlier this week advising all PlayStation 3 owners to only use first-party, genuine PS3 wireless controllers. The company says counterfeit controllers, which look identical in appearance, have been introduced into the market and could explode.

"SCEA advises consumers to be cautious when buying PlayStation 3 wireless controllers from uncertain sources as the quality, reliability and safety of counterfeit products is uncertain, and in some cases, may be dangerous," Sony warns.

"It is possible that some counterfeit product may ignite or explode, resulting in injury or damage to the user, your PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, or other property."

Sony also said it plans to introduce software updates to disable these counterfeit and unlicensed controllers.

Αυτό όμως είναι λάθος ε. Μην κάνετε σαν τα χαζά παιδάκια που γράφουν PS3 vs X360 comments στα sites.

Motion controlled παιχνίδια δεν επηρρέασαν καθόλου τα κλασσικά-γνωστά παιχνίδια. Αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που έβγαλαν και οι άλλοι move/kinnect. Είναι τελείως διαφορετικό κοινό και ήθελαν να φάνε και από εκεί. Το συνηθισμένο κοινό με τα αίματα και τις 20 εκατομμύρια πωλήσεις το είχαν ήδη, δεν είχαν αναγκη τα move/kinnect για να κρατήσουν εσένα του GTA/GoW/Halo/Green Slime Submarine. Άσε που πόσους ξέρετε, πόσους έχετε διαβάσει στο ιντερνετ να αφορήζουν το πατροπαράδοτο gaming για χάρη του motion sensing? Ελάχιστοι, μιας και οι πιο πολλοί έχουν απλά 2 κονσόλες. Eίναι τόσο απλό που απορώ που δεν το σκέφτεστε και μόνοι σας :!:

"Μα φαντάσου αν δεν έβγαιναν και αντ'αυτού τα έκαναν για κλασσικο στυλ"

Όχι, απλά δεν θα υπήρχαν. Καμία εταιρεία δεν κάνει αποκλειστικά motion control παιχνίδια εις βάρος των hardcore (να χαρώ εγώ..). Αν το R&D τους κρίνει πως κάποια ιδέα ταιριάζει σε κάτι τέτοιο τότε το κάνουν. Τα μισά αποκλειστικά motion παιχνίδια δε θα δούλευαν στο πατροπαράδοτο περιβάλλον.

Μα αυτό σου λέω, βλέπεις πως και οι ίδιοι δεν ασχολούνται και τόσο με hardcore motion sensor παιχνίδια. Η αγορά των hardcore είναι εκεί και δεν θέλει τίποτα άλλο πέρα από pad. Συνάμα προσφέρει εκατομμύρια πωλήσεις σε MS/Sony. Δε θα αλλάξει τίποτα για τους hardcore γιατί το πολύ πολύ να έχουν επιλογή στα options για enable move/kinnect control scheme.

Για να πετύχει ένα motion sensor παιχνίδι πρέπει να είναι σχεδιασμένο γι αυτό το σκοπό και άρα δεν πρόκειται τα hardcore να αλλάξουν μιας και συνήθως δουλεύουν καλύτερα με pad.

The PlayStation Network is facing limited accessibility today. The issue, which Sony is currently remaining relatively quiet about, comes after the Anonymous hackers group threatened action against the company for its treatment of GeoHot and Graf_Chokolo. There is no official correlation at this time, and, as everyone knows, Sony frequently performs maintenance on the PSN. Greetings, Sony Customers And PS3 Users. We are Anonymous.

During the last few days, Anonymous has been targeting Sony for their outrageous treatment of not only PS3 users and jailbreakers, but also of the general public. Their propaganda regarding jailbreaking implies that it encourages piracy and thereby makes people lose their jobs, whereas jailbreaking actually just means you are making YOUR device do what it should do. Imagine if Microsoft forced you to use Internet Explorer instead of Firefox or Chrome. Imagine if they denied users from using any other web browser than their own. Many people would obviously be pissed... but then, why aren't you pissed at Sony?

The fact that their litigation demanded information on everyone who had viewed the material, was completely unacceptable. This is a threat not only to the gaming community, but to freedom of information in general. The fact that the privacy of individuals can be violated, simply for accessing information, and legal action can be taken for doing something with something you own, are steps far beyond the line. Anonymous decided it could not allow this to stand. If jailbreaking a phone for use of legal (unsigned) apps is found legal, why would this be any different for the Geohot case, seeing as Geohot explicitly states he does not support piracy?

Anonymous is not attacking the PSN at this time. Sony's official position is that the PSN is undergoing maintenance. We realize that targeting the PSN is not a good idea. We have therefore temporarily suspended our action, until a method is found that will not severely impact Sony customers.

Anonymous is on your side, standing up for your rights. We are not aiming to attack customers of Sony. This attack is aimed solely at Sony, and we will try our best to not affect the gamers, as this would defeat the purpose of our actions. If we did inconvenience users, please know that this was not our goal.
This operation is a response to Sony's attempt to deprive their customers of products they bought and therefore own, wholly and completely. Anonymous will not attempt to fight this by following the exact same course of action. We have plenty of tricks up our sleeves.

As a last point, we would like to point out that different operations are "run" by different people. Those who are involved in the organisation of OpSony, are not necessarily those involved in that of SonyRecon. Anonymous Operations are generally independent efforts, and it would be a mistake to assume that the same individuals are responsible for every action taken. Anonymous is comprised of people with diverse points of view, of which not all coincide with one another.

Working closely with several outside security firms, the company has implemented significant security measures to further detect unauthorized activity and provide consumers with greater protection of their personal information. The company is also creating the position of Chief Information Security Officer, directly reporting to Shinji Hasejima, Chief Information Officer of Sony Corporation, to add a new position of expertise in and accountability for customer data protection and supplement existing information security personnel. The new security measures implemented include, but are not limited to, the following:

Added automated software monitoring and configuration management to help defend against new attacks
Enhanced levels of data protection and encryption
Enhanced ability to detect software intrusions within the network, unauthorized access and unusual activity patterns
Implementation of additional firewalls

The company also expedited an already planned move of the system to a new data center in a different location that has been under construction and development for several months. In addition, PS3 will have a forced system software update that will require all registered PlayStation Network users to change their account passwords before being able to sign into the service. As an added layer of security, that password can only be changed on the same PS3 in which that account was activated, or through validated email confirmation, a critical step to help further protect customer data.

The company is conducting a thorough and on-going investigation and working with law enforcement to track down and prosecute those responsible for the illegal intrusion.

“This criminal act against our network had a significant impact not only on our consumers, but our entire industry. These illegal attacks obviously highlight the widespread problem with cyber-security. We take the security of our consumers’ information very seriously and are committed to helping our consumers protect their personal data. In addition, the organization has worked around the clock to bring these services back online, and are doing so only after we had verified increased levels of security across our networks,” said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. “Our global audience of PlayStation Network and Qriocity consumers was disrupted. We have learned lessons along the way about the valued relationship with our consumers, and to that end, we will be launching a customer appreciation program for registered consumers as a way of expressing our gratitude for their loyalty during this network downtime, as we work even harder to restore and regain their trust in us and our services.”

Complimentary Offering and “Welcome Back” Appreciation Program
While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, the company is committed to helping its customers protect their personal data and will provide a complimentary offering to assist users in enrolling in identity theft protection services and/or similar programs. The implementation will be at a local level and further details will be made available shortly in each region.

The company will also rollout the PlayStation Network and Qriocity “Welcome Back” program, to be offered worldwide, which will be tailored to specific markets to provide our consumers with a selection of service options and premium content as an expression of the company’s appreciation for their patience, support and continued loyalty.

Δε μπορώ να βρω το link τώρα, αλλά στο Ars Technica είχα διαβάσει πως στις ΗΠΑ υπάρχει νομικό πλαίσιο που καθορίζει υποχρεωτικές προδιαγραφές για την ασφάλεια των συναλλαγών και της αποθήκευσης στοιχείων όπως οι πιστωτικές κάρτες. Εάν η Sony τηρούσε τις προδιαγραφές του νόμου, τότε δεν έχει ευθύνη.

Αλλά και γενικότερα δε καταλαβαίνω γιατί θα έπρεπε να έχει ευθύνη η Sony, αν και εφόσον είχαν πάρει κάθε εύλογο μέτρο ασφάλειας. Είναι ανάλογο με το να έχεις π.χ. δανειστεί κάτι από ένα φίλο, να σου διαρρήξουν το σπίτι και, μεταξύ άλλων, να το αρπάξουν. Εκτός κι αν είσαι απρόσεκτος και π.χ. αφήνεις την πόρτα του σπιτιού ανοικτή, δεν θα ήταν άδικο να σε κατηγορεί επειδή έτυχε να σε διαρρήξουν;

LulzSec, which had previouslyhacked Sony BMG’s Japanese website (according to Forbes) has promised more attacks against Sony and claimed that this is the beginning of the end for Sony.

LulzSec tweeted:

We’re working on another Sony operation. We’ve condensed all our excited tweets into this one: this is the beginning of the end for Sony.

Update 2: I was reading further in the tweets of LulzSec and I found that they are planning to begin Phase 1 within the next day:

(Sony + Ownage) Phase 1 will begin within the next day. We may have a pre-game show for you folks though. Stay tuned.

We recently broke into SonyPictures.com and compromised over 1,000,000 users' personal information, including passwords, email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts. Among other things, we also compromised all admin details of Sony Pictures (including passwords) along with 75,000 "music codes" and 3.5 million "music coupons".

Due to a lack of resource on our part (The Lulz Boat needs additional funding!) we were unable to fully copy all of this information, however we have samples for you in our files to prove its authenticity. In theory we could have taken every last bit of information, but it would have taken several more weeks.

Our goal here is not to come across as master hackers, hence what we're about to reveal: SonyPictures.com was owned by a very simple SQL injection, one of the most primitive and common vulnerabilities, as we should all know by now. From a single injection, we accessed EVERYTHING. Why do you put such faith in a company that allows itself to become open to these simple attacks?

What's worse is that every bit of data we took wasn't encrypted. Sony stored over 1,000,000 passwords of its customers in plaintext, which means it's just a matter of taking it. This is disgraceful and insecure: they were asking for it.

The infamous Sony hacking group, LulzSec, has criticized PlayStation 3 users who complained about the recent PlayStation Network outage.

LulzSec took to Twitter to recently say:

Don’t know what PS3 users are complaining about. They got a chance to get fresh air and were rewarded with free games a month later.

The hacking group, who have been in the headlines a lot in recent times due to their hacking of Sony Picture’s internal servers, then joked:

I think the PSN outage motivated the US Military to actually get off their asses and hunt down Osama instead of playing CoD.

Members of Anonymous, the group who allegedly hacked the PlayStation Network, have been taken into custody in Spain.
