Δεν το βαλα στο φόρουμ για τα live καθώς η ημερομηνία του είναι 16 Απριλίου 2010. :lol: Παρόλα αυτά, το γεγονός ότι έγινε τέτοια ανακοίνωση σημαίνει για μένα ότι η μπάντα δεν είναι παρατημένη και ετοιμάζει υλικό. Roadburn is very pleased to announce that Tom Gabriel Warrior, founder of the illustrious Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, has agreed to act as the curator for our festival on Friday, April 16th 2010, and host a special event at Roadburn, called Only Death Is Real.


Tom's duties as curator include personally selecting the bands that will play on Only Death Is Real, as well as to perform the first major headlining set with his latest incarnation, Triptykon. Tom will be Roadburn’s third curator, following up on David Tibet in 2008 and Neurosis earlier this year, and we would call his election a perfectly natural progression.


We are overjoyed to have secured Tom's involvement in Roadburn this year, as he stands as a truly groundbreaking artist, with his previous bands having been extremely divisive, as is often the case with truly unique and original works of art. Ultimately his canon of work would prove not only legendary but hugely inspirational for an entire generation of musicians in the metal, doom and dark psychedelic scenes.


Tom has always enjoyed pushing the envelope musically and challenging boundaries, and it was entirely that mindset that made him a perfect fit to act as our curator. It has been a constant goal of ours to keep Roadburn a festival that not only celebrates the established but charts new territory, and we could think of no better spirit guide than Tom Gabriel Warrior. We are looking forward to the new ideas that he will bring to our festival, as we feel that we are truly kindred spirits.


Tom Gabriel Warrior: It is a surprise and an honor to be asked by Roadburn to act as a curator, and I am accepting this extraordinary opportunity with much gratitude and due humility. In my eyes, Roadburn is one of the most courageous and artistic festivals in existence, and its history is, in essence, a list of concerts by groups I deeply admire. It is quite a challenge to follow such footsteps, both as a curator and as a musician. I will try my very best to ensure that the groups I intend to propose to the organizers of Roadburn will be as ravishingly dark, unique, and exciting to the festival's visitors as they are to me.

Holland’s very own Roadburn Festival has become Europe’s leading underground festival for psychedelic, avant-garde, doom or any other variation of leftfield sonic pleasure at pushing the boundaries of music.


In addition to the music, Roadburn has earned a reputation as having a unique camaraderie between the festivalgoers, bands, organizers and staff, and ranks as one of the best and most laid-back festivals to be experienced.


Roadburn 2010, including Tom Gabriel Warrior's Only Death Is Real, will run for three days from Thursday, April 15 to Saturday, April 17 at the 013 venue and Midi Theatre in Tilburg, Holland. There will be an additional afterburner event on Sunday, April 18, 2010.

Triptykon, the group formed by Tom Gabriel Warrior after his departure from Celtic Frost in April of 2008, is scheduled to commence studio recording sessions for a first album in mid-August 2009. The album, tentatively titled Eparistera Daimones, will mainly be recorded in southern Germany. with additional recording sessions to take place in Switzerland. Produced by Warrior and Triptykon guitarist V. Santura, the recording and mixing sessions are expected to continue until November 2009. The album is currently scheduled for release in spring of 2010, through the group’s own label, Prowling Death Records (home of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost).

Triptykon was created specifically to continue and further evolve the darkness invoked by its immediate precursors, seminal black/extreme metal pioneers Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. Accordingly, Triptykon's first album is a persistent development of the virulent and towering musical darkness perpetuated not only by Warrior's early work but also within his extensive contributions to Celtic Frost's highly acclaimed Monotheist album. As expected, a significant part of the music on the album consists of material written by Warrior during the past few years and originally intended for Monotheist's successor. This is balanced by new, original music written by Warrior and Santura since Triptykon's inception.

Although the group has so far proceeded in virtual concealment, the music for Eparistera Daimones has been described as akin to a bleak, black ocean of heaviness, accentuated by moments of unexpected grace. Songs currently under consideration for inclusion on Triptykon's debut album are, among others, "Myopic Empire", "Among Veiled Spirits", "Sepultus", "Abyss Within My Soul", "Goetia", "A Thousand Lies", and the 17-minute "The Prolonging".

Triptykon will follow the release of Eparistera Daimones with a number of festival appearances and a full tour. The group’s onstage debut is scheduled to take place as part of the renowned Roadburn Festival, in April 2010.

arte TV Documentary Featuring Interview With Tom Gabriel Fischer
As part of an a new six-episode documentary series about the evolution of the music scene in the 1980s, German/French TV station arte is set to broadcast episode 5, titled: “Gothic, Industrial & Black Metal“, on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 10.55pm CET. This episode features new interviews with bands such as Killing Joke or Cabaret Voltaire as well as clips from an interview conducted with Triptykon's Tom Gabriel Fischer about the emergence of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost.

England's Terrorizer magazine has launched what is likely to become a separate quarterly specialist publication to complement the main magazine. The first issue, published in September 2009, is dedicated to "The Secret History Of... Black Metal". The 96-page magazine features various references to Hellhammer and Celtic Frost as well as a dedicated interview with Hellhammer/Celtic Frost/Triptykon guitarist/singer Tom Gabriel Fischer. A sidebar in the feature assesses the most significant Hellhammer and Celtic Frost releases, rating Celtic Frost's "Monotheist" album of 2006 as "Arguably, the metal album of the decade... This is darkness".

Ευελπιστώ πριν το Roadburn.

Είχα απογοητευθεί και πίστευα ότι δεν θα ανεβεί κομμάτι πριν την επίσημη κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ. Ευτυχώς με αλέρταρε ο agoraphobic. To myspace έχει δυο κομμάτια από τον επερχόμενο δίσκο. Ακολουθεί σύντομη κριτική:

Abyss within my soul: Ωραίο και δυνατό κομμάτι, μου άρεσε που ενώ διαρκεί 9μιση λεπτά σε κρατάει μέχρι το τέλος και "σέρνεται" ωραία. Doom διάθεση, πάνω-κάτω στο ύφος του Monotheist.

A thousand lies: Αρκετά ξύλο σε σχέση με τον τελευταίο δίσκο και ίσως και σε σχέση με τα παλιά. Συνεχίζει να έχει ήχο frost αλλά με ένα ύφος που παραπέμπει περισσότερο σε σύγχρονο black metal, ίσως και λόγω drums. Στο δεύτερο μισό του κομματιού οι ταχύτητες πέφτουν πάλι και επιστρέφουμε σε doom πρότυπα.

Γενικώς θα έλεγα ότι έχουμε δυο ωραία κομμάτια, αλλά δεν φαίνεται να έχει γίνει κανένα άλμα μπροστά. Δηλαδή βρισκόμαστε 2 βήματα μπροστά από το monotheist, τη στιγμή που έχουν περάσει 4 χρόνια από την κυκλοφορία του. Φυσικά αν δεν ακούσουμε ολοκληρωμένο δίσκο δεν μπορούμε να βγάλουμε συμπεράσματα, αλλά προβλέπεται μάλλον απλώς ένας πολύ καλός δίσκος και όχι κάτι αριστουργηματικό.

Triptykon / Prowling Death Records Ltd. Sign with Century Media Records

Triptykon, the group formed by former Hellhammer/Celtic Frost singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Warrior, is proud to announce that the groups' own label, Prowling Death Records Ltd., has entered into a licensing agreement with renowned metal giant Century Media Records.

Under the agreement, Century Media Records will release Triptykon's massive debut album, Eparistera Daimones, in Europe and North America on March 22, 2010.

Eparistera Daimones was produced by Tom Gabriel Warrior and Triptykon guitarist V. Santura and recorded in V. Santura's own Woodshed Studio in southern Germany, in the course of the second half of 2009. Like Celtic Frost's highly praised Monotheist album, Eparistera Daimones was mastered by Walter Schmid at Oakland Recording in Winterthur, Switzerland. Eparistera Daimones is said to be heavier than Monotheist, dark, daring, and very diverse.

Tom Gabriel Warrior: I am very pleased about continuing my long-standing and very constructive affiliation with Century Media Records. After the demise of Celtic Frost, I was looking for continuity in every other aspect of my life, and the cooperation between Prowling Death Records Ltd. and Century Media Records has in the past already provided an outstanding platform for releases by Hellhammer (the Demon Entrails demo reissue album, 2008) and Celtic Frost (Monotheist, 2006).

Eparistera Daimones will feature the following nine songs, at a playing time of around 70 minutes:

1. Goetia
2. Abyss Within My Soul
3. In Shrouds Decayed
4. Shrine
5. A Thousand Lies
6. Descendant
7. Myopic Empire
8. My Pain
9. The Prolonging

A further three new Triptykon songs have also been recorded, and they, too, will be released in the course or 2010

The album will be further distinguished by stunning artwork from two highly acclaimed international artists, who, together with the group themselves, thus form their own artistic triptych.

Triptykon consists of V. Santura (guitar, vocals), Norman Lonhard (drums, percussion), Vanja Slajh (bass), and Tom Gabriel Warrior (voice, guitars). The group has unambiguously stated that it pursues the continuation and further development of the path Warrior began in Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. The group’s onstage debut is scheduled to take place as part of the distinguished Roadburn Festival, on April 16, 2010.

Όχι ότι έχεις άδικο, όχι ότι θα αλλάξει ιδιαίτερα η γνώμη μου, αλλά ψιλομαντεύω ότι αν δεν ήταν οι τριπτυκον του τομας γκαμπριελ γουοριορ, μάλλον δεν θα ασχολιόσουν και ιδιαίτερα, ίσα που θα έκανες και τσαχπίνικα θαφτικά σχολιάκια. Βέβαια είναι οι τριπτυκον του τομας γκαμπριελ γουοριορ οπότε ποτέ δεν θα μάθουμε. υπόσχομαι πάντως ότι με το που θα ανοίξω το επόμενο μπουκάλι κόκκινο κρασί θα είναι η πρώτη επιλογή μου.

Αυτό το "αν ήταν κάτι άλλο" επιχείρημα πρέπει κάποτε να σταματήσει. Δεν θα ήταν κάτι άλλο διότι δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι κάτι άλλο. Εκτός αν επρόκειτο για κάποια τόσο ξεδιάντροπη αντιγραφή, που όπως ψιλομαντεύεις θα μου άρεσε και στο τέλος θα με έβριζες με τσαχπίνικα θαφτικά σχολιάκια. Μπορώ να φέρω και παραδείγματα ίδιων albums από άλλες μπάντες που κατέληξαν να παίζουν πιο πολύ από τις άλλες μπάντες δεμσέλβς. Μπορώ να σου στείλω για παράδειγμα σε email μια μπάντα, αλλά στο tag του mp3 να την έχω ονομάσει αλλιώς..

Ρε είναι καταπληκτικό video. Το μόνο που με είχε ξενίσει στο μονόθειστ σαν σύνολο ήταν το videoclip του Dying God. Αυτό εδώ έχει την ιδανική αναλογία σκοτεινού και ατμοσφαιρικού, με τρομερές λήψεις. Και το τραγούδι δεν παίζεται. Το παρήγγειλα σήμερα, ενιπινκ, κλπ
