Write to them; tell them you love the show. Tell them WHY you love the show. (don't mention what you didn't like or saw as a problem - we can bitch amongst ourselves for that) Tell them why you think the show should stay on for a third season at least. Talk about not only how great the show is now, but how much potential the show has for future seasons.
Include some basic demographic information; age, sex, country. Perhaps occupation. I heard somewhere that there's no Nielsen boxes in college dorms or military bases; both potentially HUGE chunks of the 18-49 demographic FOX desires for the show.
Be formal in the letter. Write it in a respectful, formal manner, as you would do if applying for a job. Check spelling and grammar. While it will be great if FOX does get thousands of emails, which they would at least NOTICE, having correct spelling and grammar, etc, will make them be taken more seriously.
As soon as I've managed to finish this damn petition, I'll post the link for it and get as many people as possible to sign it. I'm about as Tech savvy as Sarah or Derek, so it might be a while longer.
