ALLENTOWN , PENNSYLVANIA

It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Shadow Gallery vocalist, Michael A. Baker. Mike suffered a heart attack, Wednesday afternoon, October 29th, 2008. He was 45 years old. Mike was a founding member of Shadow Gallery and for the past 16 years, helped shape the sound of the band with his magical voice. Additionally, he made many appearances on rock records around the world. Those who knew him best were moved by his gentle spirit, sincere kindness , fun nature and passion for both music and sports. He was a warrior in the studio, a true professional. Mike was our friend, our singer and our brother. We loved him and will miss him enormously, but he will always be remembered in our hearts and through his music.

Και βέβαια - όχι ότι έχει ιδιαίτερη σημασία πλέον - αλλά Shadow Gallery τέλος.

Επίσης, τον είχα για μικρότερο. Είδες πουθενά ότι το διαλύουν οριστικά ή υποθέτεις?

Οχι, δεν το είδα πουθενά, αλλά έτσι λέει η λογική. Άλλωστε και ο Wehrkamp είχε αρχίσει να ασχολείται από πέρυσι με άλλα πράγματα (βλέπε Amaran's Plight), η μπάντα δεν ήταν ποτέ ιδιαίτερα ενεργή, αφού δεν έπαιξε ποτέ live και χωρίς τον Mike δεν υπάρχει -πιστεύω- λόγος να συνεχίσουν.

We have created a special online condolence book at the Shadow Gallery site (shadowgallery. com) for those who may wish to leave words of sympathy or memory. This feature is now live at the site. In memory of Mike we have pulled the rest of the site offline for now. I've already gone and left a few thoughts. I encourage the rest of you to do so as well.

The future of Shadow Gallery

Shadow Gallery will continue. We will finish this record and make it as potent as it can be.
There are some questions to be answered, but we feel confident we will be provided with the answers.
The band has read so many of the wonderful heart touching comments, and heard from so many people these past two weeks and we look forward to giving the Shadow Gallery fans our very best, to honor them, and Mike.
