Ένας 24χρονος από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο συνελήφθη την Τρίτη το πρωί ως ο υπεύθυνος λειτουργίας της σελίδας OiNK που περιείχε σε μια κλειστή κοινότητα, που αναπτυσσόταν μέσω προσκλήσεων, torrent με παράνομο περιεχόμενο. Μόνο φέτος μέσω της υπηρεσίας αυτής είχαν διακινηθεί τουλάχιστον 60 προ-εκδόσεις μουσικών άλμπουμ. Τώρα έχασε την δουλειά του στο IT πολυεθνικής εταιρείας και βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στην φυλακή.

Ομοίως έκλεισε η σελίδα Tv-Links.co.uk και ο διαχειριστής της βρίσκεται πια ενώπιον του νόμου. Η υπηρεσία αυτής της σελίδας ήταν να έχει λίστες με ταινίες και τηλεοπτικές σειρές τις οποίες τις πρόσφερε στους επισκέπτες της μέσω flash player και αφού τις φιλοξενούσε σε δωρεάν υπηρεσίες video όπως Google Video, Dailymotion, YouTube, Stage6 και άλλες. Δηλαδή δεν τις είχε στον server του, γιατί μερικοί νομίζουν ότι αν δεν έχουν κάτι στον δικό τους server δεν είναι παράνομοι.

The Pirate Bay is currently working on an OiNK replacement in an attempt to bring the hundreds of thousands of music albums back online that disappeared during the raid. The replacement will be released within a week and on the BOiNK.cd domain.

BOiNK will be a little different from OiNK. For instance, the tracker will be public and it will start out with a lot less torrents than OiNK had when it was raided. The success of BOiNK will mainly depend on the former OiNK community, who will be asked to upload their old OiNK torrents.

The most important thing about BOiNK is perhaps the message it sends out to the IFPI and the BPI: It shows that that if you stop one tracker, others will pop up days after. It is a hydra. Call it a slap in the face if you want.

BOiNK will probably be ready in a few days. People from the Pirate Bay, Mininova, TorrentFreak and even the recently arrested (and released) OiNK admin are currently at The Oil of the 21st Century conference where they are - among other things - discussing filesharing, culture and copyright related issues.

BOiNK is a Pirate Bay only project, OiNK and other BitTorrent sites are not involved.

In the meantime, please stay away from scam sites that pretend to be related to OiNK. All they will do is take your money and run away. As soon as there’s an approved donation campaign (if there will be any) we will report it here.

Μου κάνει εντύπωση που σε όλη αυτή την ραγδαία εξέλιξη του Internet, Filesharing etc. το Marketing ή και ακόμα νέες μορφές εκμετάλευσης των διακινούμενων αρχείων δεν έχουν βρεί την χρύση τομή.
Από την άλλη το Internet σε κάνει να νιώθεις οτι εφόσον κάνεις κάτι το οποίο το κάνει μερικά δισεκατομμύρια κόσμος δεν είσαι παράνομος. Η αλήθεια βρίσκεται κάπου στην μέση.

Και αλήθεια προσπαθώ έναν τρόπο ώστε να καταλάβω πως μπορεί να σταματήσει παντελώς η διακίνηση αρχείων. Ομολογώ πως δεν βρίσκω να γίνεται.

Κάποια μόντα έχουν κάνει οι τύποι του piratebay και είναι οκ νομικά. Αυτό ισχύει και για όσους κατεβάζουν; Το κατέβασμα απ' το piratebay είναι νόμιμο;

Κάποια μόντα έχουν κάνει οι τύποι του piratebay και είναι οκ νομικά. Αυτό ισχύει και για όσους κατεβάζουν; Το κατέβασμα απ' το piratebay είναι νόμιμο;
τις πιο πολλες φορες μεταφερουν τους σερβερς σε χωρες που ειναι πιο "ελαστικες" στο θεμα,η δεν εχουν νομοθεσιες για το συγκεκριμενο παραπτομα.
