CAGE announces new drummer

San Diego, California heavy metal band "CAGE" have announced the addition of drummer Norm Leggio, formerly of the legendary prog-metal band PSYCHOTIC WALTZ as the band's newest member.

Norm Leggio previously performed on all PSYCHOTIC WALTZ releases between 1986 - 1996 (ASLAN demo; PSYCHOTIC WALTZ demo; A SOCIAL GRACE; INTO THE EVERFLOW; MOSQUITO and BLEEDING).

He also is the owner of the all metal record store BLUE MEANNIE RECORDS in El Cajon, California.

In addition, he was the co-host of the metal radio show ANOTHER STATE OF MIND on San Diego, California Clear Channel radio station ROCK 105.3 FM for many years.

CAGE vocalist Sean Peck states 'To say we are totally excited is an understatement! Norm brings an entirely new level of drumming to our band that will definitely be noticed immediately at all of our upcoming shows and in our new material we are already hard at work on. We have been friends with Norm for a long time and it is very cool to have him in the CAGE family. We know our fans will be stoked to hear and witness his amazing hand speed and tasty fills. I know he is excited to be heading out on the road again to greet all the CAGE and PSYCHOTIC WALTZ fans around the heavy metal world'.

Κατ' αρχάς :shock: Κίνηση-έκπληξη, δεν θα το περίμενα ποτέ όχι μόνο να πάρουν οι Cage τον Leggio, αλλά και ο Leggio να πάει σε μια μπάντα στο στιλ των Cage.

Κατά δεύτερον οι περισσότεροι Cage-όπληκτοι θα θέλαμε να πάμε έτσι κι αλλιώς UTH του χρόνου (και όχι μόνο για αυτούς).

Τώρα βέβαια είναι στάνταρ ότι θα πάνε περισσότεροι. :D

Ε δε νομίζω ότι θα αλλάξει το προσωπικό ύφος των Cage λόγω Leggio, άρα γιατί να μην τον πάρουν? Εξάλλου πρόκειται για κορυφαίο μουσικό.
Και οι ίδιοι οι Cage έχουν προοπτικές να μεγαλουργήσουν στο μουσικό στερέωμα, άρα ήταν υποθέτω ελκυστική πρόταση για τον Leggio.

Συνοπτικά: με χαροποιούν ιδιαίτερα τέτοιου είδους συνεργασίες :D

Ένας λόγος λιγότερος βασικά. :P

Μα είστε σοβαροί; Στο UTH θα πάτε για cage και όχι για τις άλλες μπάντες;

Καλά και ο Christy έχει παίξει στους Iced Earth και ο Zonder στο προσωπικό του Cans και τα παραδείγματα είναι πολλά.

Kαι φυσικά δεν τίθεται θέμα ότι η πρόσληψη του Leggio δεν πρόκειται να αλλάξει μουσική κατεύθυνση στους Cage. Nα πήγαινε ο Dan Rock το συζητάγαμε. :D

San Diego metallers CAGE will release their fifth album, "Science Of Annihilation", on May 22 through Music Buy Mail.

The follow-up to the epic "Hell Destroyer", "Science Of Annihilation" sees CAGE "pushing its boundaries yet again in every department," according to a press release. In May of 2009, CAGE with be criss-crossing the European continent to build on its reputation as one of the best live performers in metal today.

This will be a very special tour as each show will be a CD-release party of its own!

"Science Of Annihilation" will be available first ONLY where the tour stops and CAGE performs.

Only after the tour is complete, will the cd be released through retailers, so the emphasis is for the purest and truest to come out and be part of the ultimate power metal party!

CAGE will bring the music directly to the heavy metal fans and personally hand the CD to those that will be there live, to share the CAGE experience.
