Έκανα ένα search για topic In the Woods και δεν υπήρχε.
Τώρα υπάρχει.
Κατά τα άλλα, In the Woods -> σε απόλυτη αρμονία με την φύση. Με απίστευτα albums όπως Heart of the Ages, Omnio, Three Times Seven On A Pilgrimage και απίστευτη ατμόσφαιρα, απίστευτα φωνητικά, απίστευτους στίχους, είναι χαλαρά μαζί με τους Ulver ανώτεροι μουσικά για μένα από οτιδήποτε άλλο.

Δεν το έχω ακούσει ακόμα, και ούτε το έχω βρει πουθενά για να το πάρω. Όσοι το άκουσαν πάντως, είπαν τα καλύτερα λόγια και έμειναν ενθουσιασμένοι στο έπακρον.

Ναι, με πιο αντικειμενικά κριτήρια δεν θα μπορούσε να θεωρηθεί και η κορυφαία στιγμή τους (όπως το Omnio και το Strange In Stereo ας πούμε), αλλά αναφέροντάς το στην αρχή ως κορυφαίο ήταν καθαρά υποκειμενική και προσωπική άποψη, αφού είναι το αγαπημένο μου album από τους In the Woods. Και όντως ήταν πολύ λυπηρή η διάλυσή τους, όχι μόνο για συναισθηματικούς λόγους, αλλά και γιατί σίγουρα είχαν ακόμα να προσφέρουν.

]Back into the woods The woods are full of trees, some old, some not. Some have been cut down, some recycled, and some are still standing, defying the harshness of the nature. This goes for the Kristiansand-based band as well. Some of the trees have decided to rear their ugly heads once again, with a battle plan including the recording of two albums, two albums which were planned released back in the year 2000. Later this month the members will get together, rehearsing and polishing the songs. During the period prior to the farewell gig in Kristiansand 14 years ago, on the 29th of December at Caledonien Hall, the lineup changed several times. But a core, consisting of original drummer Kobro and the Botteri twins Chris and Christopher, has always been present. The lineup today consists of these three aforementioned gentlemen, as well as several other musicans will be announced soon, also a very good replacement that will fill the shoes for Oddvar who tragically left us last year. The band will not rush the production of the material, but state they will take their time to ensure a high quality process resulting in music which will stand the test of time.

It’s time to unveil one of the new members of the band, it’s time to unveil the vocalist. Of three candidates, Tommy Sebastian Halseth was our first choice, luckily he accepted. Tommy has done a lot of different stuff, ranging from Godsend back in the mid-90’s, through Atrox, Griffin, Wattamezz and towards doing the vocals for Manes. Tommy has received full control of the lyrics on the upcoming material.

Τα αδέρφια Botteri κυκλοφόρησαν έναν δίσκο με ένα πρότζεκτ που όπως είπαν ξεκίνησαν να δουλεύουν αμέσως μετά την αποχαιρετιστήρια συναυλία των In The Woods...

Κάποια καλά σήμεία, θυμίζει αρκετά Strange in Stereo χωρίς πολλά ξεσπάσματα. Ίσως να ακουγόταν πολύ καλύτερο με διαφορετικό τραγουδιστή αφού ο τύπος όσο και να προσπαθεί...δεν. Πολλά τα σημεία που περίμενα να ακούσω τον Jan και την Synne.

Αρκετά καλό το Pure, ωραία επιστροφή και δεν ξέρω αν τα κομμάτια υπήρχαν από τότε αλλά μπαίνουν άνετα ανάμεσα σε Omnio και Strange In Stereo. Μοναδική ένσταση για τα φωνητικά που τα βρήκα τελείως βαρετά. Όχι μόνο θα ήταν πολύ καλύτερα με Transit αλλά και σε πολλά σημεία θες να ακούσεις την Synne να σιγοντάρει.

Να πούμε ότι οι παλιοί ITW έχουν προφανώς πια τελειώσει οριστικά. Σε αυτά τα πλαίσια, και σε αντίθεση με το χλιαρό και άνευρο κατά τη γνώμη μου Pure, το νέο κομμάτι με κάνει να είμαι πιο αισιόδοξος για το επερχόμενο. Ίδωμεν.

Το Pure δε με χάλασε, ίσως επειδή υπήρχαν ιδέες από τον δίσκο που δεν βγήκε ποτέ τότε. Στο λάιβ τους βρήκα άθλιους, και αυτό το κομμάτι επίσης. Όπως και το εξώφυλλο. Κρίμα που γαμάνε το όνομα έτσι.
