Adaptation:
Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage): Why should I be made to feel I have to apologize for my existence? Maybe it's my brain chemistry. Maybe that's what's wrong with me. Bad chemistry. All my problems and anxiety can be reduced to a chemical imbalance or some kind of misfiring synapses. I need to get help for that. But I'll still be ugly though. Nothing's going to change that.

The Gladiator:
Maximus: My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Maximus: At my signal, UNLEASH HELL.

The Matrix:
Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.

Blade Runner/Roy Batty: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

2001/HAL9000: I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.

Από Conan(αντικειμενικά πιστεύω η καλύτερη ταινία ever)
O Conan στους υρκανούς(νομίζω) πολέμαρχους απαντώντας στην ερώτηση "What is best in life?"...
"Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women"

Όταν ο Thulsa Doom ετοιμάζεται να επιτεθεί στον Conan και στους συντρόφους του, που λέει...
"Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark... Now they will learn why they fear the night..."

Όταν πεθαίνει η Βαλέρια που γυρνάει ο Σουμπουτάι και λέει στην ερώτηση "γιατί κλαις;"
"He is Conan, from Cimmeria. He does not cry, so I cry for him."

Και τέλος, πριν την τελευταία μεγάλη μάχη ενώ προσεύχεται σε Κρομ, που λέει...
"Then grant me one request... Grant me revenge... And if you do not listen, then to hell with you."

Τέλος, αμέσως μου ήρθε ατάκα από Evil Dead 3...
"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun!"

"Dead Man":
Nobody: I was then taken east, in a cage. I was taken to Toronto. Then Philadelphia. And then to New York. And each time I arrived at another city, somehow the white men had moved all their people there ahead of me. Each new city contained the same white people as the last, and I could not understand how a whole city of people could be moved so quickly.

"Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead":
Guildenstern: All your life you live so close to truth it becomes a permanent blur in the corner of your eye. And when something nudges it into outline, it's like being ambushed by a grotesque.

"Ed Wood":
Edward D. Wood, Jr.: This story's gonna grab people. It's about this guy, he's crazy about this girl, but he likes to wear dresses. Should he tell her? Should he not tell her? He's torn, Georgie. This is drama.

TYLER
Do you know what a duvet it?

JACK
Comforter.

TYLER
It's a blanket, just a blanket. Now why guys like you and I know what a duvet is? Is this essential to our survival? In the hunter-gathered sense of the word? No. What are we then?

JACK
You know, consumers.

TYLER
Right. We're consumers. We're by-products of a lifestyle obsession. Murder, crime, poverty -- these things don't concern me. What concerns me is celebrity magazines, television with five hundred channels, some guy's name on my underwear. Rogaine, Viagra, Olestra.

JACK
Martha Stewart.

TYLER
Fuck Martha Stewart. Martha's polishes on the brass of the Titanic. It's all going down, man! So fuck off, with your sofa units and your green stripe patterns. I say never be complete. I say stop being perfect. I say let's evolve and let the chips fall where they may. But that's me, I could be wrong, maybe it's a terrible tragedy.

JACK
No, it's just stuff.

TYLER
Well, you did lose a lot of versatile solutions for a modern life.

JACK
Fuck, you're right.
Tyler offers Jack a cigarette.

JACK
No, I don't smoke. My insurance will probably cover it, so...
Tyler stares at him

JACK
What?

TYLER
The things you own, end up owing you. But do what you like, man.

Raoul Duke "Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas": We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously... All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create... a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody... or at least some force - is tending the light at the end of the tunnel.

Jeffrey Goines sto "12 Monkeys": There's the television. It's all right there - all right there. Look, listen, kneel, pray. Commercials! We're not productive anymore. We don't make things anymore. It's all automated. What are we *for* then? We're consumers, Jim. Yeah. Okay, okay. Buy a lot of stuff, you're a good citizen. But if you don't buy a lot of stuff, if you don't, what are you then, I ask you? What? Mentally *ill*. Fact, Jim, fact - if you don't buy things - toilet paper, new cars, computerized yo-yos, electrically-operated sexual devices, servo systems with brain-implanted headphones, screwdrivers with miniature built-in radar devices, voice-activated computers...

O idios: You know what crazy is? Crazy is majority rules.

Carolyn Burnham: Uh, who's car is that out front?
Lester Burnham: Mine. 1970 Pontiac Firebird. The car I've always wanted and now I have it. I rule!

Ricky Fitts: It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it, right? And this bag was like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in.

Moulin Rouge: 'The Greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and to be loved in return'

Trainspotting: Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family, Choose a f--king big television. Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose a three piece suit on hire purchased in a range of f--king fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the f--k you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing f--king junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarassment to the selfish, f--ked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose a future. Choose life...But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?

Joe: Inside me I'm screaming, nobody pays any attention. If I had arms, I could kill myself. If I had legs, I could run away. If I had a voice, I could talk and be some kind of company for myself. I could yell for help, but nobody would help me.

Joe: I don't know whether I'm alive and dreaming or dead and remembering.

Joe: When it comes my turn, will you want me to go?
Father: For democracy, any man would give his only begotten son.

Joe: There's a game out there, and the stakes are high. And the guy who runs it figures the averages all day long and all night long. Once in a while he lets you steal a pot. But if you stay in the game long enough, you've got to lose. And once you've lost there's no way back, no way at all.

Batman: Robin, listen to these riddles.Tell me if you interpret them as I do.What has yellow skin and writes?
Robin: A ballpoint banana!
Batman: Right. Two. What people are always in a hurry?
Robin: Rushing people.Russians!!
Batman: Right again. Now,what do you say it means?
Robin: Banana…Russian..I ve got it! Someone Russian is gonna slip on a banana peel and break their neck.
Batman:Precisely Robin. That’s the only possible meaning.

First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

I remember those cheers
They still ring in my ears
And for years they'll remain in my thoughts
Cuz one night I took off my robe
And what'd I do
I forgot to wear shorts.
I recall every fall, every hook, every jab
The worst way a guy could get rid of his flab
As you know, my life was a jab...
Though I'd rather hear you cheer
When I delve into Shakespeare
"A Horse, a Horse, my Kingdom for a Horse,"
I haven't had a winner in six months (he lights his cigar)...
I know I'm no Olivier
But if he fought Sugar Ray
He would say
That the thing ain't the ring
It's the play.
So gimme a stage
Where this bull here can rage
And though I can fight
I'd much rather recite
That's entertainment!
That's entertainment.

Μόλις είδα ξανά το War Wagon και έπρεπε να το ποστάρω.

John Wayne και Kirk Douglas πυροβολούν ταυτόχρονα 2 τύπους. Γυρνά ο Douglas και λέει στο Wayne: "Mine hit the ground first."

*Γυρνά και κοιτά τον Στεφανάκη που τον κοιτά ένας πούστης από το δίπλα τραπέζι*
Ν: Τι έγινε ρε Στέφανε, εμείς εδώ μιλάμε και εσύ, κοιτάχτε με γειτόνισσες, ψαράκια τηγανίζω;
Σ: Πολύ με κόβει ο έτσι.
Ν: Ε το είδα, κωλόμπα είναι ο κύριος.
Σ: Μάάάλλον αδερφή είναι.
Ν: Στεφανάκη, μην μπερδεύεσαι μ'αυτά γιατί στο τέλος θα γίνει η φτιάξη και ο εις τον άλλον και τανάπαλιν, μπήκες;

*Γυρνά ο Νώντας, βλέπει τον πούστη*
Ν: Μωρή ξεφτίλα, καμάκι μας κάνεις;
Π: Α να χαθείς, πινέζα.
Ν: Να χαθείς εσύ μωρή... παλιόκοτα!

Fran: Do you know that in Tibet when they want something they give something away?
Bernard: Do they? That must be why they're such a dominant global power.

Fran: Do you know nothing about modern culture, Bernard? Beckham, Posh, Pokemon...
Bernard: Pacman. It's pronounced Pacman.

Bernard: [gibbering] They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do... to create a new strain of super-wine in a half an hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. "Bernard Black, he's mad," they'd say. "He's insane. He's dangerous." Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

Manny: I want the weekend off. I want a life.
Bernard: This is life! We suffer and slave and expire. That's it!
Manny: We have needs! Fran wants to learn the piano, I want some time to myself, you want to go out with a girl...
Bernard: Don't make me laugh... bitterly. Fran will fail, you'll toil your life away, and I'll die alone, upside down on the floor of a pub toilet.

Bernard: [describing his friends Gerald and Sarah] And she's an interior designer, she's on that show "Pet Surprise".
Manny: Haven't heard of it.
Bernard: You know, you know. They take the dog out for a walk, he thinks it's a normal walk and when he gets back the kennels got a patio and french doors!
Manny: Ah yeah...
Bernard: And he's like, "Oh my god!"

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole multi colored collection of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Memorable Quotes from
American Beauty (1999)
Lester Burnham: You don't get to tell me what to do ever again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: I am sick and tired of being treated like I don't exist. You two do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it, and I don't complain.
Carolyn Burnham: Oh, you don't complain? Then I must be psychotic, then! What is this? Yeah, let's bring in the laugh-meter and see how loud it gets.
Lester Burnham: [Lester throws the asparagus plate at the wall] Don't interrupt me, honey!
Lester Burnham: [sits back down to eat] Oh, yeah, and one more thing, from now on we're going to have alternate dinner music because frankly - and I don't think I'm alone here -
[looks in Jane's direction]
Lester Burnham: I'm tired of this Lawrence Welk shit!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: You're right, I suck dick for money.
Colonel Frank Fitts: Boy...
Ricky Fitts: Two thousand dollars, I'm that good.
Colonel Frank Fitts: Get out.
Ricky Fitts: And you should see me fuck. I'm the best piece of ass in three states.
Colonel Frank Fitts: Get out! I don't ever want to see you again.
Ricky Fitts: What a sad old man you are.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: I'm not obsessing. I'm just curious.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: Uh, who's car is that out front?
Lester Burnham: Mine. 1970 Pontiac Firebird. The car I've always wanted and now I have it. I rule!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: This is a $4,000 sofa, upholstered in Italian silk. It is not just a couch.
Lester Burnham: [shouts] It?s just a couch!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: Smile! You're at Mr. Smiley's.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Lester has just caught Caroline cheating with the Real Estate King]
Carolyn Burnham: Uh Buddy, this is my...
Lester Burnham: Her husband. We've met before, but something tells me you're going to remember me this time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Carolyn is introducing Lester to the Real Estate King]
Carolyn Burnham: My husband, Lester.
Buddy Kane: It's a pleasure.
Lester Burnham: Oh, we've met before, actually. This thing last year, Christmas at the Sheraton...
Buddy Kane: [pretends to remember] Oh yeah, yes...
Lester Burnham: It's OK, I wouldn't remember me either.
Carolyn Burnham: [laughs nervously] Honey, don't be weird.
Lester Burnham: OK honey, I won't be weird. I'll be whatever what you want me to be.
[Lester kisses Carolyn wildly, then looks at the Real Estate King]
Lester Burnham: We have a very healthy relationship.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: I figured you guys might be able to give me some pointers. I need to shape up. Fast.
Jim Olmeyer: Are you just looking to lose weight, or do you want increased strength and flexibility as well?
Lester Burnham: I want to look good naked!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brad Dupree: [reading Lester's job description] "My job consists of basically masking my contempt for the assholes in charge, and, at least once a day, retiring to the men's room so I can jerk off while I fantasize about a life that doesn't so closely resemble Hell." Well, you have absolutely no interest in saving yourself.
Lester Burnham: Brad, for 14 years I've been a whore for the advertising industry. The only way I could save myself now is if I start firebombing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: Look at me, jerking off in the shower... This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: I feel like I've been in a coma for the past twenty years. And I'm just now waking up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: You ungrateful little brat! Just look at everything you have. When I was your age, we... lived in a duplex! We didn't even have our own house!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela Hayes: Yeah? Well at least I'm not ugly!
Ricky Fitts: Yes you are, and you're boring and totally ordinary and you know it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brad Dupree: Man, you are one twisted fuck.
Lester Burnham: Nope, I'm just an ordinary guy with nothing to lose.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: Then I guess I'll have to throw in a sexual harassment charge.
Brad Dupree: Against who?
Lester Burnham: Against YOU. Can you prove that you didn't offer to save my job if I let you blow me?
Brad Dupree: Man, you are one twisted fuck.
Lester Burnham: No, Brad; I'm just an ordinary guy who has nothing left to lose.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: Excuse me for speaking so bluntly sir. But those fags make me want to puke my fucking guts out.
Colonel Frank Fitts: [cautiously, after a long pause] Well, me too son. Me too.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: So, do you party?
Lester Burnham: Excuse me?
Ricky Fitts: Do you get high?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Catering Boss: I'm not paying you to do... whatever it is you're doing out here.
Ricky Fitts: Fine. So don't pay me.
Catering Boss: Excuse me?
Ricky Fitts: I quit. So you don't have to pay me. Now leave me alone.
Catering Boss: ...asshole.
Lester Burnham: I think you just became my personal hero!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: Honey, I'm so proud of you. I watched you very closely, and you didn't screw up once!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brad Dupree: Got a minute?
Lester Burnham: For you, Brad, I've got five!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: My dad thinks I paid for all this with catering jobs. Never underestimate the power of denial.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: This isn't life, it's just stuff. And it's become more important to you than living. Well, honey, that's just nuts.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: Remember those posters that said, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life"? Well, that's true of every day but one - the day you die.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jane Burnham: Are you scared?
Ricky Fitts: I don't get scared.
Jane Burnham: My parents will try to find me.
Ricky Fitts: Mine won't.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: How's Jane?
Angela Hayes: What do you mean?
Lester Burnham: I mean, how's her life? Is she happy? Is she miserable? I'd really like to know, and she'd die before she'd ever tell me about it.
Angela Hayes: She's... she's really happy. She thinks she's in love.
Lester Burnham: Good for her.
Angela Hayes: How are you?
Lester Burnham: God, it's been a long time since anybody asked me that... I'm great.
Angela Hayes: I've gotta go to the bathroom.
Lester Burnham: I'm great.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[at the dinner table]
Carolyn Burnham: Your father and I were just discussing his day at work. Why don't you tell our daughter about it, honey?
Lester Burnham: Janie, today I quit my job. And then I told my boss to go fuck himself, and then I blackmailed him for almost sixty thousand dollars. Pass the asparagus.
Carolyn Burnham: Your father seems to think this type of behavior is something to be proud of.
Lester Burnham: And your mother seems to prefer I go through life like a fucking prisoner while she keeps my dick in a mason jar under the sink.
Carolyn Burnham: How dare you speak to me that way in front of her. And I marvel that you can be so contemptuous of me, on the same day that you LOSE your job.
Lester Burnham: Lose it? I didn't lose it. It's not like, "Whoops! Where'd my job go?" I QUIT. Someone pass me the asparagus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: Honey, don't be weird!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: You don't think it's kinda weird & fascist?
Carolyn Burnham: Possibly, but you don't want to be unemployed.
Lester Burnham: Oh well, alright, let's all sell our souls and work for Satan because it's more convenient that way.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mr. Smiley's Manager: I don't think you'd fit in here.
Lester Burnham: I have fast food experience.
Mr. Smiley's Manager: Yeah, like twenty years ago!
Lester Burnham: Well, I'm sure there have been amazing technological advances in the industry, but surely you must have some sort of training program. It seems unfair to presume I won't be able to learn.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: Well, I see you're smoking pot now. I think using psychotropic drugs is a very positive example to set for our daughter.
Lester Burnham: You're one to talk, you bloodless, money-grabbing freak.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: What the hell do you think you're doing?
Lester Burnham: Uh oh! Mom's upset! Working out. I'm going to whale on my pecs and then do my back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: [narrating] I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn't a second at all, it stretches on forever, like an ocean of time... For me, it was lying on my back at Boy Scout camp, watching falling stars... And yellow leaves, from the maple trees, that lined my street... Or my grandmother's hands, and the way her skin seemed like paper... And the first time I saw my cousin Tony's brand new Firebird... And Janie... And Janie... And... Carolyn. I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me... but it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jane Burnham: [turning the camera on Ricky] Don't you feel naked?
Ricky Fitts: I am naked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: [narrating] That's my wife, Carolyn. See the way the handle on her pruning shears matches her gardening clogs? That's not an accident.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Colonel Frank Fitts: You need structure... and discipline.
Ricky Fitts: Thank you for trying to teach me, sir. Don't give up on me, Dad.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: My company sells an image. It's part of my job to live that image.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: [narrating] It's a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: What are you doing?
Lester Burnham: Nothing.
Carolyn Burnham: You were masturbating!
Lester Burnham: I was not.
Carolyn Burnham: Yes you were!
Lester Burnham: Oh, all right! So shoot me, I was whacking off! That's right, I was choking the bishop, chafing the carrot, you know, saying "hi" to my monster!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: When I was your age, I flipped burgers all summer just to be able to buy an eight-track.
Ricky Fitts: That sucks.
Lester Burnham: No, actually it was great. All I did was party and get laid. I had my whole life ahead of me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buddy Kane: In order to be successful, one must project an image of success at all times.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: I refuse to be a victim!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jane Burnham: Somebody should just put him out of his misery.
Ricky Fitts: Do you want me to kill him?
Jane Burnham: Yeah, would you?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Colonel Frank Fitts: Where's your wife?
Lester Burnham: Uh, I dunno. Probably out fucking that dorky, prince-of-real-estate asshole. And you know what? I don't care.
Colonel Frank Fitts: Your wife is with another man and you don't care?
Lester Burnham: Nope. Our marriage is just for show. A commercial for how normal we are when we're anything but.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: So Janie, how was school?
Jane Burnham: It was okay.
Lester Burnham: Just okay?
Jane Burnham: No dad, it was spectacular.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[after meeting Ricky Fitts for the first time]
Angela Hayes: What a freak! And why does he dress like a bible salesman?
Jane Burnham: He's just so confident, it can't be real.
Angela Hayes: I don't believe him. I mean, he didn't even like, look at me once!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela Hayes: I don't think that there's anything worse than being ordinary.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela Hayes: So, you're fucking psycho-boy on a regular basis now? Tell me, has he got a big dick?
Jane Burnham: It's not like that.
Angela Hayes: What, hasn't he got one?
Jane Burnham: I'm not going to talk about his dick with you, OK?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: Don't you mess with me, mister, or I'll divorce you so fast it'll make your head spin!
Lester Burnham: On what grounds? I'm not a drunk, I don't fuck other women, I've never hit you, I don't mistreat you... I don't even try to touch you since you've made it so abundantly clear how unnecessary you consider me to be! But I did support you when you got your license, and some people might think that entitles me to half of what's yours. So, turn off the light when you come to bed!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela Hayes: I'm serious. He just pulled down his pants and yanked it out. You know, like, "Say hello to Mr. Happy."
Playground Girl #1: Gross.
Angela Hayes: It wasn't gross. It was kinda cool.
Playground Girl #1: So did you do it with him?
Angela Hayes: Of course I did. He's like a really well known photographer. He shoots for "Elle" on like a regular basis. It would have been so majorly stupid of me to turn him down.
Playground Girl #2: You are a total prostitute.
Angela Hayes: Hey! That's how things really are. You just don't know 'cause you're this pampered little suburban chick.
Playground Girl #2: So are you. You've only been in "Seventeen" once and you looked fat! So stop acting like you're goddamn Christy Turlington!
Angela Hayes: Cunt! I am so sick of people taking their insecurities out on me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: She's not your friend. She's just someone you use to feel better about yourself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela Hayes: Jane, he's a freak!
Jane Burnham: Then so am I! And we'll always be freaks and we'll never be like other people and you'll never be a freak because you're just too... perfect!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela Hayes: You total slut, you have a crush on him. You're defending him, you love him, you wanna have, like, ten thousand of his babies.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: My name is Lester Burnham. This is my x`neighborhood; this is my street; this is my life. I am 42 years old; in less than a year I will be dead. Of course I don't know that yet, and in a way, I am dead already.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: [narrating] Both my wife and daughter think I'm this gigantic loser and they're right, I have lost something. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I know I didn't always feel this... sedated. But you know what? It's never too late to get it back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jane Burnham: Could he be any more pathetic?
Angela Hayes: I think it's sweet. And I think he and your mother have not had sex in a long time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Seeing Lester and the two Jim's jogging]
Colonel Frank Fitts: What is this? The fucking Gay Pride parade!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: [narrating] Janie's a pretty typical teenager. Angry, insecure, confused. I wish I could tell her that's all going to pass, but I don't want to lie to her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim Olmeyer: Hello! We're your neighbors from two doors down and we just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood!
[handing the Colonel a gift basket]
Jim "JB" Berkely: Everything's from our garden, except for the pasta.
Jim Olmeyer: Yes, it's from Fizzoli's, it's amazingly fresh, you just pop it in water and it's done! I'm Jim Olmeyer
[shakes the Colonel's hand]
Jim Olmeyer: And this is my partner Jim.
Jim "JB" Berkely: Jim Berkely, but people call me J.B.
[extends his hand to shake]
Colonel Frank Fitts: Ah, let's just cut to it, what are you selling?
Jim Olmeyer: Nothing, we just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.
Colonel Frank Fitts: You said you're partners, so, uh what's your business?
Jim Olmeyer: Well, he's a tax attorney.
Jim "JB" Berkely: And he's an anesthesiologist.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: I didn't mean to scare you. I just think you're interesting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: Man, oh man. Man, oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man.
[last words, while looking at a picture of his family]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: It's like God's looking right at you, just for a second, and if you're careful you can look right back.
Jane Burnham: And what do you see?
Ricky Fitts: Beauty.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: I will sell this house today, I will sell this house today.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carolyn Burnham: Oh, I see. You think you're the only one who's sexually frustrated here?
Lester Burnham: I'm not? Well then come on, baby, I'm ready!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester: [giggling] Oh, I'm in trouble!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: [after Ricky's dad beats him up] Mom, I'm leaving.
Barbara Fitts: OK. Wear a raincoat.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jane Burnham: [seeing Lester having just been shot] Oh, my God...
Ricky Fitts: [looks at Lester, curiously intrigued] Wow...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barbara Fitts: I'm so sorry for how the house looks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: [talking to Carolyn about Jane] Oh, what? You're mother of the year? You treat her like an employee.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricky Fitts: I can't believe you don't know how beautiful you are.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lester Burnham: You better watch yourself, Jane, or you're going to turn into a real BITCH, just like your MOTHER!

Denis Dimbleby Bagley: We're living in a shop. The world is one magnificent fucking shop, and if it hasn't got a price tag, it isn't worth having. The Greatest freedom of all is the freedom of choice, and that's the difference between you and me, boil. I was brought up to believe in that, and so should you, but you don't want freedom, do you? You don't even want roads. God I never want to go on another train as long as I live! Roads represent the fundamental right of man to have access to the good things in life. Without roads, established family favorites would become elite as delicacies. Potter's soap would be for the few. There'd be no more tea bags, no instant potatoes, no long life cream. Chewing gum would probably disappear, so would porkpies. There'd be no aerosols, no tin spaghetti, or baked beans with six frankfurters. Foot deodorizers would climax with the hope of replacement! When the hydrolized mono-sodium glutomate reserves ran out, food would rot in its packets. Jesus Christ, there wouldn't be any more packets! Packaging would vanish from the face of the earth. But worst of all, there'd be no more cars, and more than anything, people love their cars. They have a right to them. They have to sweat all day in some stinking factory making disposable cigarette lighters or everlasting Christmas trees, by Christ, they're entitled to them! They're entitled to any innovation technology brings. Whether it's ten percent more of it or fifteen percent off of it. They're entitled to one of four important new ingredients. Why should anyone have to clean their teeth without important new ingredients? Why the hell shouldn't they have their CZT? How dare some smutty Marxist carbunkle presume to deny them it? They love their CZT! They want it, they need it, they positively adore it, and by Christ, while I've got air in my body they're going to get it! They're going to get it bigger - and brighter - and better. I'll put CZT in their margarine if necessary; shove vitamins in their toilet rolls. If happiness means the whole world standing on a double layer of foot deodorizers, I, Bagley, shall see that they get it! By God I will. I shall not cease, till Jerusalem is builded here, on England's green and pleasant lands!

Denis Dimbleby Bagley: Perhaps if they'd hanged Jesus Christ we'd all be kneeling in front of a fucking gibbet!

Oracle: I'd ask you to sit down, but, you're not going to anyway. And don't worry about the vase.
Neo: What vase?
[Neo turns to look for a vase, and as he does, he knocks over a vase of flowers, which shatters on the floor.]
Oracle: That vase.
Neo: I'm sorry--
Oracle: I said don't worry about it. I'll get one of my kids to fix it.
Neo: How did you know?
Oracle: Ohh, what's really going to bake your noodle later on is, would you still have broken it if I hadn't said anything?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oracle: You're cuter than I thought. I can see why she likes you.
Neo: Who?
Oracle: Not too bright, though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neo: But if you already know, how can I make a choice?
The Oracle: Because you didn't come here to make a choice, you've already made it. You're here to try to understand why you made it.

-Morpheus:

"If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What are you waiting for? You're faster than this. Don't think you are, know you are. Come on! Stop trying to hit me and hit me!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Throughout human history, we have been dependent on *machines* to survive. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
" I've seen an agent punched through a concrete wall. Men have emptied entire clips at them and hit nothing but air, yet their strength and their speed are still based in a world that is built on rules. Because of that, they will never be as strong or as fast as you can be."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kai ta kalytera of all, Agent Smith:

"Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world? Where none suffered, where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost. Some believed we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world. But I believe that, as a species, human beings define their reality through suffering and misery. The perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this: the peak of your civilization."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It is purpose that created us, purpose that drives us, purpose... that defines us."

Pin Head: We have such sights to show you!

Pin Head: We will tear your soul apart.

Pinhead: Ah, Kirsty. We thought we lost you.
Female Cenobite: So sweet of you to come back.
Pinhead: How can it send us back, child? We're already here... and so are you!
[Pinhead transforms the box into the Leviathan Configuration]
Kirsty Cotton: I didn't open the box!
Female Cenobite: "Didn't open the box." And what was it last time, "Didn't know what the box was?" And yet, we do keep finding each other, don't we?
Pinhead: Oh, Kirsty. So eager to play, so reluctant to admit it.
Female Cenobite: Perhaps you're teasing us. Are you teasing us?
Kirsty Cotton: I've come for my father!
[the Cenobites laugh at that]
Pinhead: But he is in his own Hell, child, and quite unreachable.
Kirsty Cotton: I don't believe you!
Pinhead: But it's true. He is in his own Hell, just as you are in yours.
Kirsty Cotton: And what about you?
Pinhead: We have no more surprises.
Female Cenobite: We've always been here.
Pinhead: But please, feel free, explore. We have eternity to know your flesh.

"Let us praise God,
Oh Lord,
Oooh, you are so big
So absolutely huge
Gosh, we're all really impressed down here, i can tell you
Forgive us, oh Lord, for this, our dreadful toadying
And barefaced flattery,
But you're so strong and well, just so super
Fantastic.
Amen, Reverend.
Amen."

Pin Head: No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

J.P. Monroe: Jesus Christ!
Pinhead: Not quite.

Pinhead: Down the dark decades of your pain, this will seem like a memory of Heaven.

Minstrel: [singing] Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot. He was not afraid to die, oh brave Sir Robin. He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways, brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin. He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp, or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken. To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away, and his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin. His head smashed in and heart cut out, and his liver removed, and his bowels unplugged, and his nostrils ripped and his bottom burned off and his penis...
Sir Robin: That's, uh, that's enough music for now, lads... looks like there's dirty work afoot.

King Arthur: Old woman.
Dennis: Man.
King Arthur: Man, sorry. What knight lives in that castle over there?
Dennis: I'm 37.
King Arthur: What?
Dennis: I'm 37. I'm not old.
King Arthur: Well I can't just call you "man".
Dennis: Well you could say "Dennis".
King Arthur: I didn't know you were called Dennis.
Dennis: Well you didn't bother to find out did you?
King Arthur: I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind you looked...
Dennis: What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior.
King Arthur: Well I am king.
Dennis: Oh, king eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society.

Self-Defense teacher: Now, it's quite simple to deal with a banana fiend. First, you force him to drop the banana. Then, you eat the banana, thus disarming him. You have now rendered him helpless!

Dr. Eric Foreman: You are aware of the Hippocratic oath, right?
Dr. Gregory House: The one that starts, "First, do no harm", then goes on to tell us: no abortions, no seductions, and definitely no cutting of those who labor beneath the stone? Yeah, took a read once. Wasn't impressed.

Jill: My joints have been feeling all loose, and lately I've been feeling sick a lot. Maybe I'm overtraining; I'm doin' the marathon, like, ten miles a day,
[House looks tired]
Jill: but I can't seem to lose any weight.
Dr. Gregory House: Lift up your arms.
[she does so]
Dr. Gregory House: You have a parasite.
Jill: Like a tapeworm or something?
Dr. Gregory House: Lie back and lift up your sweater.
[she lies back, and still has her hands up]
Dr. Gregory House: You can put your arms down.
Jill: Can you do anything about it?
Dr. Gregory House: Only for about a month or so. After that it becomes illegal to remove, except in a couple of states.
[he starts to ultrasound her abdomen]
Jill: Illegal?
Dr. Gregory House: Don't worry. Many women learn to embrace this parasite. They name it, dress it up in tiny clothes, arrange playdates with other parasites...
Jill: Playdates?
Dr. Gregory House: [shows her the ultrasound] It has your eyes.
[it's a baby]

No, there is not a thin line between love and hate. There is, in fact, a Great Wall of China with armed sentries posted every twenty feet between love and hate.

Rebecca Adler: I just want to die with a little dignity.
House MD (Hugh Laurie):
There's no such thing! Our bodies break down, sometimes when we're 90, sometimes before we're even born, but it always happens and there's never any dignity in it. I don't care if you can walk, see, wipe your own ass. It's always ugly - always! We can live with dignity - we can't die with it.

House MD (Hugh Laurie):
You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.

I'm sure he's a good guy. He's probably a great guy. Probably a much better guy than I am. And some part of me wants him to die. I'm just not sure if it's because I want to be with her, or if it's because I want her to suffer. :|

ένα μικρό tribute στον τεράστιο Al Bundy
http://www.bundyology.com/bal2.jpg
και στο "Married With Children" - τη δεύτερη πιο γαμάτη κωμωδία όλων των εποχών

Women - can't live with them.... The End.

Go away, Peg.

Oh. life is good! But not for me ...

I'm the only guy in the world who has to wake up to have a nightmare.

Peggy : Tell me you love me, Al.
Al : I love football, I love beer, let's not cheapen the meaning of the word.

If you want to have sex, the kids will have to leave. If you want it to be good, then you will have to leave.

Peg : You haven't been very nice to my family.
Al : Neither has nature, go bother it!

Peggy : Why don't you take us all out for dinner?
Al : What the hell, kids, you never wanted to go to college anyway, did you?

Am I truly nothing? Could the neighbourhood children be right?

I wish the world was a fly and I'm a giant rolled up newspaper.

Except for the day before the day I met you, this is the happiest day of my life.

Why doesn't the world die?

Alright now, everybody ... shoot me!

Ah, home sweet hell!

Hooters, hooters, yum, yum, yum. Hooters, hooters on a girl that's dumb.

How do you want to Die:, With a greasy slice of pizza in one hand and a greasy hooter in the other.

Psycho Dad original theme song
from Al... with Kelly (501)

Who's that riding into the sun.
Who's the man with the itchy gun.
Who's the man who kills for fun!
Psycho Dad. Psycho Dad. Psycho Dad!
He sleeps with a gun, but he loves his son.
Killed his wife 'cause she weighed a ton... Psycho Dad!

Peggy: Question two. Who would you rather spend the night with? A - your wife, or B...
Al: B.

Al: That was a beautiful, lovely movie. I saw 22 hooters, a bunch of guys were killed, had no story at all.
[wipes away a tear]
Al: It had... it had everything.

TV Announcer: Coming up next is the television special, "I Drink Because My Father is A Shoe Salesman".
Al: [skyward] Good one.

NO MA'AM, the "National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood"

Al: When I was growing up, I had two dreams. One was being an astronaut and landing on the planet Jane Mansfield. The other was having a bathroom all to myself.

Al to Mrs. De Groot: "So you think I'm a loser? Just because I have a stinking job that I hate, a family that doesn't respect me, a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean loser to you, but let me tell you something. Every morning when I wake up, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. So I get up, have my watered down Tang and still-frozen Pop Tart, get in my car with no upholstery, no gas and six more payments to fight traffic just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes on the cloven hooves of people like you. I'll never play football like I thought I would, I'll never know the touch of a beautiful woman, and I'll never again know the joy of driving without a bag on my head. But I'm not a loser. 'Cause despite it all, me and every other guy who'll never be what he wanted to be, are still out there, being what we don't wanna be, forty hours a week, for life. And the fact that I haven't put a gun to my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner!"

Man with the Long Hair: They say that dreams are only real as long as they last. Couldn't you say the same thing about life?

Pinball Playing Man: I mean, I'm not saying that you don't know what you're talking about, but I don't know what you're talking about.

Guy Forsyth: The worst mistake that you can make is to think you're alive when really you're asleep in life's waiting room

Soap Opera Woman: Excuse me.
Wiley: Excuse me.
Soap Opera Woman: Hey. Could we do that again? I know we haven't met, but I don't want to be an ant. You know? I mean, it's like we go through life with our antennas bouncing off one another, continously on ant autopilot, with nothing really human required of us. Stop. Go. Walk here. Drive there. All action basically for survival. All communication simply to keep this ant colony buzzing along in an efficient, polite manner. "Here's your change." "Paper or plastic?' "Credit or debit?" "You want ketchup with that?" I don't want a straw. I want real human moments. I want to see you. I want you to see me. I don't want to give that up. I don't want to be ant, you know?

Alex Jones: We have got to realize that we're being conditioned on a mass scale. Start challenging this corporate slave state.

Boat Car Guy: The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving.

Hey dad, you wanna hear something funny? There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!"

What happens if the manager won't give up the diamonds?

MR. WHITE
When you're dealing with a store like this, they're insured up the
ass. They're not supposed to give you any resistance whatsoever. If you get a
customer or an employee who thinks he's Charles Bronson, take the butt of your
gun and smash their nose in. Drops 'em right to the floor. Everyone jumps, he
falls down, screaming, blood squirts out of his nose. Freaks everybody out.
Nobody says fuckin' shit after that. You might get some bitch talk shit to ya.
But give her a look, like you're gonna smash her in the face next. Watch her
shut the fuck up. Now if it's a manager, that's a different story. The
managers know better than to fuck around. So if one's givin' you static, he
probably thinks he's a real cowboy. So what you gotta do is break that son-of-
a-bitch in two. If you wanna know something he won't tell you, cut off one of
his fingers. The little one. Then tell 'im his thumb's next. After that he'll
tell ya if he wears ladies underwear.

I'm hungry, let's get a taco.

Jayne: "Do you know what the chain of command is here? It's the chain I go get and beat you with to show you who's in command."

Wash: "Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire." (beat) "Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity."

Mal: "If anyone gets nosy, just...you know... shoot 'em. "
Zoe: "Shoot 'em?"
Mal: "Politely."

Wash: "Yeah well, if she doesn't give us some extra flow from the engine room to offset the burn through, this landing is gonna get pretty interesting."
Mal: "Define interesting."
Wash: "Oh god oh god we're all gonna die?"
Mal: "This is the captain. We have a...little problem with our engine sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then...explode."

Mal: "So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave."

Best quote ever:
Book: "If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater."

MR. PINK
"Like a Virgin" is all about a
girl who digs a guy with a big
dick. The whole song is a
metaphor for big dicks.

MR. BLUE
No it's not. It's about a girl
who is very vulnerable and she's
been fucked over a few times.
Then she meets some guy who's
really sensitive--

MR. PINK
--Whoa...whoa...time out Greenbay.
Tell that bullshit to the
tourists.

JOE
(looking through his
address book)
Toby...who the fuck is Toby?
Toby...Toby...think...think...
think...

MR. PINK
It's not about a nice girl who
meets a sensitive boy. Now
granted that's what "True Blue" is
about, no argument about that.

MR. ORANGE
Which one is "True Blue?"

NICE GUY EDDIE
You don't remember "True Blue?"
That was a big ass hit for
Madonna. Shit, I don't even
follow this Tops In Pops shit, and
I've at least heard of "True
Blue."

MR. ORANGE
Look, asshole, I didn't say I
ain't heard of it. All I asked
was how does it go? Excuse me
for not being the world's biggest
Madonna fan.

MR. BROWN
I hate Madonna.

MR. BLUE
I like her early stuff. You know,
"Lucky Star," "Borderline" - but
once she got into her "Papa Don't
Preach" phase, I don't know, I
tuned out.

MR. PINK
Hey, fuck all that, I'm
making a point here. You're gonna
make me lose my train
of thought.

JOE
Oh fuck, Toby's that little china
girl.

MR. WHITE
What's that?

JOE
I found this old address book in a
jacket I ain't worn in a coon's
age. Toby what? What the fuck
was her last name?

MR. PINK
Where was I?

MR. ORANGE
You said "True Blue" was about a
nice girl who finds a sensitive
fella. But "Like a Virgin" was a
metaphor for big dicks.

MR. PINK
Let me tell ya what "Like a
Virgin"'s about. It's about some
cooze who's a regular fuck
machine.
I mean all the time, morning, day,
night, afternoon, dick, dick,
dick, dick, dick,
dick, dick, dick, dick, dick,
dick.

MR. BLUE
How many dicks was that?

MR. WHITE
A lot.

MR. PINK
Then one day she meets a John
Holmes motherfucker, and it's
like, whoa baby. This mother
fucker's like Charles Bronson in
"The Great Escape." He's diggin
tunnels. Now she's gettin this
serious dick action, she's feelin
something she ain't felt since
forever. Pain.

JOE
Chew? Toby Chew? No.

MR. PINK
It hurts. It hurts her. It
shouldn't hurt. Her pussy should
be Bubble-Yum by now. But when
this cat fucks her, it hurts. It
hurts like the first time. The
pain is reminding a fuck machine
what is was like to be a virgin.
Hence, "Like a Virgin."

Oi protes megales stigmes tou Reservoir Dogs!

Tom: Two people only hurt each other if they doubt the love they have for one another.

The Big Man: Rapists and murders may be the victims according to you, but I, I call them dogs. And if they're lapping up their own vomit, the only way to stop them is with a lash.
Grace: But dogs only obey their own nature, so why shouldn't we forgive them?
The Big Man: Dogs can be taught many useful things, but not if we forgive them every time they obey their own nature.
Dogville

- Pour échapper.
- Jamais.

H: Here you go. So, what happened to you?
J: Fell off my bike.
H: OK. Well, you look like you need to go to the hospital.
J: Nah. I'll heal myself.
H: I prayed for you last night.
J: Yeah, it didn't fucking work.
H: I think it did.
J: Don't think he heard you, love.
H: Why did you come here?
J: I was just passing.
H: There must be a reason. Do you want God to forgive you for something?
J: I don't want anything from that fuck.
H: God loves you.
J: Does he now?
H: You're a child of God.
J: God ain't my fucking daddy. My daddy was a cunt, but he knew he was a cunt. God still thinks he's God, nobody's told him otherwise.
H: Why are you so angry at God?
J: Why are you so fucking stupid?
I've met people like you all my fucking life. Goodie goodies. Make a charity record. Bake a cake. Save a fucking soul! You've never eaten shit. Don't know what it's like out there. You haven't a fucking clue!
Where do you live?
H: What?
J: I asked you where you lived. Simple fucking question. You're deaf all of a sudden?
H: Manors Estate.
J: Manors fucking Estate!
How is Manors Estate? How are the five-bedroomed, double-garaged, nicely trimmed lawn, fondue, coffee-morning fucking lifestyle Manors Estate? How is it up there? Swimming, is it?
What the fuck are you doing down here, huh? Why do you run this shop?
You're a young woman. You have family? Got kids?
H: No. We can't have them.
J: Can't or won't? This fills a gap, doesn't it? You reckon you do enough good deeds, God's gonna fix your insides? Please.
Or is your man a jaffa?
Thanks for the tea. I'll pray for you.

- Excuse me.

- Yeah?

- Are you just a girl who can't say n-

- No!

- Thought so.

- This is a party, you know. I don't think much of your dress sense.

- I thought it was meant to be a funeral. You're wearing black.

- Well, I've got "funereal" disease.

- Will I catch it if I have sex with you?

- Well, you won't be, so you won't know, will ya?
